Chairman of the Bored Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 A bit of light relief (forgive the pun) from this Sousa nonsense. Cast your mind back to a time when heroes weren't zeroes and The Walkers rocked to the tune of, er, "Dickov, Dickov" (or "get that Dickov" when Manure showed up. Frigging hliraious those Manks). It's time for Micky to spill the beans. Interesting read.... http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/football-league/lucky-man-adams-is-anxious-to-lift-the-vale-2089802.html Keep the Faith!
DB11 Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 Hardly that much [He wanted] to remind people there was more to his CV than "fire-fighting" and what he terms "the La Manga affair".In 2004, when Leicester were in the Premier League, he took them for a winter break at the recreational resort. Nine players were arrested, with three of their number – Paul Dickov, Frank Sinclair and Keith Gillespie – imprisoned while allegations of sexual assault were investigated. "That has probably cost me jobs in the Championship because clubs thought I wasn't disciplined enough to run a club at that level," Adams says. "Which is nonsense, because the fact is that the three lads were completely exonerated."
