Clive Redman Posted 29 October 2010 Posted 29 October 2010 Walshy provides his views on City's strongest team... "Not that Sven needs any advice from me, but a lot of fans have been in touch recently asking what team I would pick. From what I’ve seen this season, I’d go for a 4-4-2 formation of: Chris Weale, Kyle Naughton, Bruno Berner, Curtis Davies, Jack Hobbs, Matt Oakley, Richie Wellens, Andy King, Lloyd Dyer, Martyn Waghorn and Steve Howard." Kitchandro Posted 29 October 2010 Posted 29 October 2010 Thought Walshy had more sense than that! Really? Replace Oakley with Moussa and that's a pretty good line-up TBF.

Kitchandro Posted 29 October 2010 Posted 29 October 2010 Thats what I meant. No oakley Yeh I know But I am surprised you thought Walshie had sense.
cc_star Posted 29 October 2010 Posted 29 October 2010 Oakley has played well under Sven, that is a fact that no one can argue with despite the general pessimism around here for him.
Onions Posted 29 October 2010 Posted 29 October 2010 yet again people to fail to see how important Oakley is. He plays in the center with King, who pretty much plays all out attack, without Oakley we wouldn't have anyone defending in midfield. Oakley is obviously good enough. People just use him, fryatt and or Trevor Benjamin as an excuse week in week out.

True, he has improved but if your gonna play him it has to be in the centre not on the right as seems to be the case in Walshy's team.

When I've seen Oakley this season I've thought he's been ok, but he isn't that important for us and shouldn't be in the starting 11 imo, especially not if he i supposed to be on the right hand side.
