Bob Weasel Fox Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 Howards been okay in the past but it is time to offload the dead wood like Oakley also - i would never boo either at games though as id like to think im a true Leicester City fan
foxaholic Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 He's the best striker we have, I wish people would start to recognize his ability before he end up like Fryatt. Lets face it when he comes on we always go backwards. He cant even score from penalties and most people would recognize he is in fact our worst striker who do you consider worse now on the books
North-LondonFox Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 I think he's been a very good servant to the club and on occassion he has been a serious attacking threat. However, I hate the way we play when he's on the pitch. It leaves us no option but to play a long ball game (because he hasn't got the pace to look for a ball in behind the opposition's back four), he also seems to moan at other players if they don't just hit long diagonal balls. Overall, I can't help thinking that he is no longer suited to the way we play - and he looked hopelessy out if his depth when he was on the pitch in both legs vs Man City. A good player in his time, but if we really want to kick on then I don't think Howard is the answer.
Captain... Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 Howard's use for the rest of this season is as a sub to be brought on when we are desperate for a goal to cause a nusiance in the penalty box at set pieces. He should never be brought on as a replacement for one of our attacking 3 because he can't play in that way, he should be brought on for Abe, or Hobbs. Probably the 2 players least likely to score or create a goal, depending on how desperate we are, and how much we dominate the game. If we need a goal and he is brought on for Yak, Vassell, Gallagher, Dyer, King, Wellens or Naughton, then we are seriously reducing our attacking options. Howard can still cause problems and get a vital goal or 2.

Well done. <_<

Foxy Bingo Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 He's put up front on his own and flicks the ball on... enough said.
5waller5 Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 I go to the games. I can't stand Howard - think he's one of the worst players I've ever seen. The forum for saying that is here and in the pub ..... at the ground I'd not boo any player in a blue shirt. So maybe there's alot of people like me that don't want to hurt our team by publicly voicing our opinions or shouting so that Howard knows how little we rate him - any player plays better with confidence - so you never know one - Howard might get a shot on target if we stay quiet!!!!!
Fox1651 Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 Howards a useless lump but i agree with the above post from 5waller5 in that dont shout it at games, we need players with confidence
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 I agree with Fox1651 - Howards not a useless lump though hes much worse than that!!!
Haydos Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 I obviously don't rate him any more but he has his uses. Bit naive of anyone to think we'd have got anywhere near beating Cardiff and a good many other teams last season if it weren't for him. Time to move on but a good servant to the club
JD+Fox Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 If we didn't have the Yak I would say hang on to him as he gives a different option. But now we have a better, stronger forward... As said previously he was the mental attributes, but the legs have gone.
Fox1651 Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 Howard and Oakley can both go for me, good servants of the club for 100 plus games each but their time is over now, cant see them being even bench players next season. Can anyone honestly?
Crampy10 Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 I am defo in the Howard not good enough camp, I dont get it when people sing the super stevie howard song, when has he been super?? he was effective at cardiff away in the semis thats about it at this level, I was at the stoke away game when we got relegated and he didnt even clap the fans and looked like he couldnt care less. Time for him to move on, I would rather see some of the youth team given a chance than him coming on.
muzzy1981 Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 "What is he good for!!!??? Absolutely nothing, say it again"
