Man Utd from 1998-2001 were absolutely awesome winning the title by 18 points one season as well as doing the trebble in 99.

Also the Real Madrid with the Galacticos when they beat Leverkusen? 4-0

They've won every single league game since October 10th I think. Not dropped a single point. So you could definitely say they're the most consistent

But in Spain there isn't as much opposition compared to the Premiership, so going on unbeaten runs is surely easier in Spain.

They lost to Hercules at home early on in the season.

It's tougher than you think. At the end of the day, they still have to go out there and do the job. Real Madrid, the other main force obviously in La Liga, have lost 4 or 5 in the same time-frame.

Just out of interest how much Spanish football do you watch?

The 89-90 is lifted by the presence of three individuals (one of which was still there in 94), but the 93-94 sides achievement as a team surpassed theirs.

Not denying they were both great sides, man. Think my decision may have been swayed due to the fact I'm a Van Basten bum-boy.
