Wycombe Fox Posted 19 February 2011 Posted 19 February 2011 It's a huge tragedy when any sportsman loses their life whilst playing their sport, usually at a young age too. Clive Clarke is one of the lucky ones. On a side note, and a quick quiz question, who are the two footballers in the picture behind Clive Clarke, what was the game, final score and venue? It's quite a famous picture.
Solihullfox Posted 19 February 2011 Posted 19 February 2011 My Managing Director is a patron of CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) and knows Clive well, he is a very nice bloke apparently and works hard for the charity. Luke, my MD'S son, died just over two and half years ago, aged sixteen, and was a fit, healthy sportsman - his funeral was a very harrowing occasion especially as there were so many young people there who were completely devastated by Luke's death. The difficulties in trying to spot any symptoms is why the charity is working so hard to try and help identify the reasons for the many many deaths of young people - if any of you are looking to support a charity, CRY is a really worthwhile cause to help especially if you participate in sports.
Steven Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 Moore and Pele, cheers. Best moment in football, ever.
