ScouseFox Posted 14 March 2011 Posted 14 March 2011 Telegraph Tottenham Hotspur shirts could contain a “computer” that relays players’ biometric signals such as heart rate and temperature to coaching staff and even broadcasters from the start of the 2012-13 season. Not sure how it works or if it's allowed, seems pretty cool though
nothin2seehere Posted 14 March 2011 Posted 14 March 2011 Seems no different to wearing a heart monitor strap during training. Great idea...but can only see commentators using it to further jizz on the winning team by claiming "Look, they're [opposition] a bit hot and their heart is racing, clearly the game is too strenuous for them".
Benji Posted 14 March 2011 Posted 14 March 2011 Would be interesting to see the heart rate of "big stars" taking a penalty in a top 4 clash.
Haydos Posted 14 March 2011 Posted 14 March 2011 Could be a benefit to managers, knowing who's working hard, who's not, who's knackered etc. Don't think it should be available to the media, no reason for it to be.

Benji Posted 15 March 2011 Posted 15 March 2011 Agreed. It would just help them to talk more shit than they already do! Oh come on! Are you telling me you didn't enjoy Clive's 20 minute discussion during the Arsenal game about the United "twins". It was the most enlightening thing I've ever heard. The fact one used to wear a wedding ring but now the other is married so they are the same again. Tee hee, brilliant commentary.
AyewJoking Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 If you sweat more does it mean you're working harder? Some people just happen to be sweaty bástards. Imagine Mark de Vries wearing one of those in a one on one with the keeper, it would burst into flames!
