Young lad... has some quality but certainly needds time to improve. I dont think he is happy to wait though, im expecting him to kick up and look for an out over summer.

Disapointed to hear of the injury. Good luck to the lad either way.

Disappointing :( but he hasn't quite been good enough when he's had his chances (albeit few) this season. Do wonder if it would have been better for him to be loaned out.

This is shite news. Hope for a speedy recovery. Waggy can/would do a good job at this level imo.

Indeed, but not for us, I fear..:(

Like Max Gradel, Waghorn will thrive under a manager who values and respects him.

It's evident that like others at the club (Weale, Hobbs, Berner) he has no future under Sven.

Best wishes to him wherever he ends up in the summer..

Best of luck with the recovery. He'll forge a career somewhere, whether he's moved on in the summer or not.

And on the Schlupp note, am I right in thinking you're not allowed early call backs if it's only a month long loan?

You watch training and you'll see he's one of the most gifted and biggest characters at the club, just needs to transform this onto the pitch, discover his best position and get a run in the side. He' stil young and I've every confidence he'll be back and play a role next season. Whereas players like Vassell, Kamara Big steve and the Yak have these games to show they want to be here and how they will fit in to Sven's way of playing.

Give Schlupp a recall.

This.

With virtually nothing to play for, send the loans home (apart from Naughton ) and lets try using some of the academy prospects. Might as well start integrating them as early as possible.

Another case of Nigel Pearson making players look much better than they are? With the benefit of hindsight he is looking like a desperate (at the time), and ultimately poor signing.

Got to agree. For all the heart and effort he showed us last season he's turning out to be not only our biggest transfer flop but the championship flop of the season.

£2.000.000 should get you a 20 goal a season striker at this level.

Steve Bruce would've never let him go if he thought he was all that. He played some good mind games in the press and managed to get an extortionate fee out of us. It was blatantly a sweetener for the fans after the terrible start/losing Pearson shambles at the start of the season.

I admire Waghorns determination and enthusiasm for the game but running your socks off with no end product isn't going to gain anything.
