SOCCERROO FOX Posted 7 May 2011 Posted 7 May 2011 It cannot be any worse than the shambles that we call England right now! EDIT: Who's your Melbourne team? Do you go and watch many games there? There's only one team in Melbourne and it's Melbourne Victory i go to most games except this season cos i was watching Leicester play, Mainly Aussie rules 10 teams in Melbourne alone and all have over 30,000 season ticket holders. Living in Franksston you will be supporting St. Kilda
Pegosteve Posted 7 May 2011 Posted 7 May 2011 Tell you what Middlesboro could be dangerous next season!

Both teams play at AAMI Park, which is near the MCG, the tennis arenas, everything's based round there. There's also Etihad Stadium, which is in Docklands, which is the other side of the city, but still in the city centre. All VERY accesible by Melbourne's cheap public transport system.
Guest Posted 7 May 2011 Posted 7 May 2011 10th it is. too many goals against. too many losses to crap teams. Looking forward to hearing who will be playing for us next season.
lee(lcfc) Posted 7 May 2011 Posted 7 May 2011 good win but need o sort the defence out for next season
Floridafox Posted 7 May 2011 Posted 7 May 2011 Tell you what Middlesboro could be dangerous next season! Maybe, certainly Mowbray can get teams promoted. Looking at what's left for next season, once QPR, Norwich and maybe Swansea/Reading are gone, and with Wigan,Wolves, Blackpool added to the mix not much to worry about. Teams coming up from League 1 will be a bigger threat

There is a Melbourne Heart but they've only been in the comp one season and thee no good. Melbourne Knights aren't in the A-League. St Kilda are based in Frankston now there my team we have been really good for the last 8 seasons now this year we started as one of the favs and we are playing really crap.

Yeah my Aunt said public transport is dirt cheap, like all day tickets for trains and buses all less than something like $7, that's unreal considering here I pay £5.20 for a return ticket to Leicester! Flights within Australia are dirt cheap as well! Like $30 from Melbourne to Sydney, cannot wait, away games will be so much easier than they are here. It's gotta be Melbourne Victory though sorry They're the first team I noticed and I've looked them up. Cannot wait for a cricket match at the MCG!!!

The Aunt is forcing me into AFL but I really don't think I'll like it, I don't particularly like rugby so don't imagine it will appeal to me, only time will tell, who knows. I think she did tell me I must support St. Kilda, can't remember who I'm strictly not allowed to support, who's their rivals?
sphericalfox Posted 7 May 2011 Posted 7 May 2011 Let's not discuss the game, let's continue enjoying the Melbourne love-in! Can anyone shed light on the substitutions? My understanding is that Vitor went off due to a hamstring injury. What about Vassell?

AFL is like religion over here it's in half the newspapers on tv all the time you can't escape it.................even during the off season.

Mmm yeah I guess, basically I have no choice but to like it cause all my family over there were born and bred in Australia cause my grandad was from there so if I don't like it, I have no choice, I will still be forced to watch it. Who plays at the biggest and most fancy stadium? I'll support them
Hack Posted 7 May 2011 Posted 7 May 2011 Yeah, Frankston is bad, but there is worse. Not many!! Kings Cross in Sydney, ROUGH. Great spot.
