Churchill Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 Before you slate me im not saying sack Sven just slightly dissapointed on how we have started. I understand the team has to gel but seriously it aint hard to attack is it? At times it looked like we had a defensive mentality, i did not boo and i never do and im fully behind Sven and the boys i will also be there on saturday to cheer them on. But as much as i don't want to be and want to think positive after alot of money spent and promise over the summer i feel dissapointed especially after last night
kingfox Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 We did attack last night and our performance was far better than Saturday's. Saturday we were terrible some of the worst football I have seen under Sven, but last night unfortunately Bristol City scored 2 goals with about 2 shots on target, I can only record Kasper making one save. We need strikers quickly but everyone knows that, last night showed that the likes of Dyer, King, Wellens and Nugent can create chances. People will be dissapointed by the start we have made, but we beat Coventry and we were very very unlucky to lose last night. The defence for me has been good this season, I can't fault Konchesky at all I think he has been one of our most consistent performers so far, Bamba has been excellent, Peltier and Pantsil are good players and will only improve. The midfield Fernandes is an excellent addition, didn't attack very well last night but he still didn't make any loose passes, he always picks out a team mate, Wellens hasn't done too bad while Abe did well against Cov but poor against Reading. The team is good but we just need a few more signings then I believe goals and wins will come.
Darkon84 Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 Give it time mate, and keep being positive, dont let the mardy 'Sven out' lot get to you. This is when we most need to keep positive and keep behind our team! EDIT: Im sure this could all have been put in one of the millions of similar threads. Didnt really need another one, did we? EDIT AGAIN: sorted the jibberish that my fvcking useless keyboard jammed in.
Churchill Posted 18 August 2011 Author Posted 18 August 2011 Haha yes i agree mate give it time and im not calling for Svens head, again i agree last night was better than saturday but after saturday i thought ok Reading got to the play-off final very good team with a very good manager don't expect us to walk it. Bristol midweek conceded 6 goals in 2 games get a good win behind us and hopefully snatch something against Forest on satuday but unfortunately it aint turned out like that but i just hope its down to the fact we aint had time to gel and things will come good!
Darkon84 Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 I'm sorry..? Its a wireless keyboard and sometimes jams and puts in absolute rubbish like that
somebum Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 dont let the mardy 'Sven out' lot get to you. Yeah, a good solid dose of blind optimism will sort out your rational thinker diagnoses.
Darkon84 Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 Yeah, a good solid dose of blind optimism will sort out your rational thinker diagnoses. It will do better than knee jerk reactions and thoughtless hate mongering. Isnt the idea of being a supporter, to SUPPORT? The clues in the word itself for goodness sake. Bitching and screaming for the managers head will do absolutely no good for anyone whatsover. I really despair for our club , with the state of some 'supporters' these days.

Problem is a lot of the optimists are the same ones that were stil clinging onto Levein, Sousa and Holloway begging other fans who could see it going wrong to "give them time". The "Sven out" after 3 games or the "dont worry he needs time" when clearly they have had too much can both be as damaging to the football club as each other
Corky Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 It wasn't a defensive mentality, it was little movement into space to provide options and slow build-up play.
