MC Prussian Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 "Weale happy with life at Leicester" the headline states for his interview on the FoxesPlayer. I just wonder why he still manages to play so erratically when it's all about confidence and him feeling so good (allegedly). He's a great, friendly guy but he's just so... odd between the sticks. Then again, most goalkeepers tend to be on the odd side.
Mack Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 There are a group of players that flourished under Pearson that now seem useless under Sven. Weale, Hobbs, Waghorn, Fryatt etc... As we dont see training or know what goes on amongst the squad who are we to reason why? If Weale had to have a prolonged run in the 1st team because Schmeichel got injured I would be very concerned, so I guess in my opinion he needs to move on. And why should anyone feel sorry for him? Like the others mentioned above, he has had his chances under Sven and has not proven himself to be 1st team material. Being a footballer is his job. If I was shit at my job and got the sack who would give a tinker's cuss for me?
iancognito Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 In the sense that since Sven came to the club he's looked to get a new keeper in without really giving Weale an extended chance, I feel sorry for him but like so many have said, he's dropped so many clangers and lost us so many points now I just don't see a way back for him. A massive part of goalkeeping is having confidence in yourself and knowing your manager and team shares that confidence and at the moment Weale has neither.
