shen Posted 4 September 2011 Posted 4 September 2011 My love for that boy continues to grow, Mats Hummels, too. He is pretty special. If reports are true that Dortmund turned down a £35mil offer from Arsenal, it does speak volumes of how highly he's rated.
Toffee_Fox Posted 4 September 2011 Posted 4 September 2011 I'm scouse, not English. Don't know many or any mates who support the National team, all came from the Thatcher the milk snatcher days.
Finnegan Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 I'm scouse, not English. Don't know many or any mates who support the National team, all came from the Thatcher the milk snatcher days. That seems pretty ****ing retarded to me and that's from a Welsh lefty. I can totally get behind your loathing of Thatcher but having one government as a reason to not support your country's football team? Or even consider yourself not from that country? Jesus. At the end of the day, you think Thatcher was bad? Try being German, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Cambodian, Chinese, Cuban, the list goes on...
Toffee_Fox Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 Why would I cheer on people like Wayne Rooney, Joleon Lescott, Steven Gerrard, Glen Johnson, Jordan Henderson, Andy Carroll? I'd rather stick pins in my eyes.
Corky Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 They aren't playing against Everton though are they? Your club won't be directly affected by how they do for England.
Toffee_Fox Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 No, but I'm not a hypocrite. Three of them I absolutely hate. I won't cheer them like a moron one week, then when they are at Goodison boo them and join in chants. If a player goes on "strike" for my club, I hope their career goes quicker than our transfer kitty! As for Wayne Rooney, well. I'd say my club gets effected, anyone who is called up, is tapped up by every tom, dick and harry whilst on duty with them.
