tickler28 Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 I've just read that he's resumed full training following his injury with us and has said that he'll need to go out on loan again. I only saw the guy a couple of times but he looked great. Do you think Sven might dabble before the loan window shuts? Reckon he'd be good cover for konchesky as opposed to ball.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Why would he come on loan here when we have Konchesky

We`re well covered in that department arnt we ?
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Wouldn't take him until he is has proven he is back up to standard, leg breaks are a different sort of injury.

LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 He`s talking about cover. And why would Man City loan him out to a team who will just use him as cover, we are fully covered in that area
tickler28 Posted 21 September 2011 Author Posted 21 September 2011 Why would he come on loan here when we have Konchesky Likewise why did Danns or St Ledger come. Revered at their previous clubs yet can't break onto our first team....yet. It's all about competition for places and if Konchesky got injured I for one would not want Ball as back up. Plus Sven will never play Berner unless every left back alive is dead!

Bigger and better things here than Palace and Preston, oh and wages Plus we have defenders who can play LB other than ball

tickler28 Posted 21 September 2011 Author Posted 21 September 2011 Bigger and better things here than Palace and Preston, oh and wages Plus we have defenders who can play LB other than ball I think you're right. I guess if any loan players do come in they would need to be wingers anyway. Loved Cunningham though. I'd personally drop konchesky to bring him in if fit.
Bugg Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 People seemed to think Greg Cunningham was shit until he broke his leg, to which everyone changed their tune and seemed to think he was the next Roberto Carlos.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 What like Michael Johnson Exactly hasn't reached the same standard since.
kyle09uk Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Personally I'd get the lad in on the wing? Could possibly do a good job? From what I Remember had a good cross on him?
lcfc_sam_p Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 Danns has been in the first team.. Always rated cunningham but not much point bringing him in at the moment.
Dicko Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 Cunningham wouldn't come to us from Man City just to be back-up to Konchesky, in the same way that Mee wouldn't come back. It's not in Man City's interests either. Konchesky is a good left back, and Ball is good cover. We're sorted in that position.
