liam717 Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 After a great win today and it now being the international break, every one is talking about where we will be at the end of the season, so i was wondering if you think will win be promoted and who else will go up - http://bit.ly/ChampionshipPromotion http://bit.ly/LeicesterCity
The Doctor Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Can we please just calm down and not lurch from talking about promotion to relegation after every match? It was a good win today and possibly one of the best performances I've seen us put in but it's just 1 game. If we play like that week-in, week-out we will be promoted but let's just keep some perspective for the time being please.
One Arm Babba Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 HA HA..... Steady Eddy! we beat Derby 4-0..... Just enjoy that for what it is. We'll talk play-offs/autos after Christmas. we're on the up. Life is good as a City fan!!!

bluefox9er Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 We are too erratic and too inconsistent, despite what recent results say. I think Nigel Clough spoke sense when he said that eventually every team gets spanked big time, and it's best to get them over and done with. If City play like this EVERY week, then We will make it..even if they played as half as well they can still make it, but it is too early and we need to kill games off instead of defending slender leads. Tonight was a long time coming..let's really enjoy it because even that miserable git Claridge said kind things, but just couldn't help repeating himself over and over about how much dosh we have spent and how spending dosh means that promotion is the only outcome for this team. The cynic in me feels very wary that if we do make it, the Thai owners will sell the club and milk the profits and bugger off....or maybe I have been watching too much '' dispatches'' on Channel 4.

Good times! Last 200 tickets for play-off fixture against Cardiff City, May 2010. What a night, what a game
Guy Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Boy, a real toughie to call re who'll be going up to the promised land atm. In two words - I dunno!! Probably the toughest season to call in the second tier/Championship's history - even tougher than last season! I'll bravely say us with West Ham.....and Ipswich via the play offs. Other play offs contenders - Southampton, Blackpool, Cardiff. Leeds, Hull and Brighton will just miss out on the top 6 I feel. I should get at least one out of six right from that above list anyway but the league couldn't be any tighter and will probably stay that way until about April! On paper and going by today's demolition of the Sheepshaggers it should automatically be us and two a.n.others (the best of the rest) but Derby were poor today and we're bound to get much stiffer opposition in abundance than that before May. That said though, we've now beaten both teams who were top (Brighton and Southampton), drawn our last two away at teams who were comfortably above us in the league without conceding (although without scoring either! ) Ipswich are this season's proverbial dark horses (now that they have appeared to have tightened up at the back), West Ham still remain joint favourites with us to go up. Half fancied teams like SOuthampton and Leeds' smaller squad will probably find them out in the winter months when injuries tend to kick in more....which is a blessing having the squad at our disposal that we now do. I cetainly wouldn't put good money on calling any of it in time for May though!
paddy Agyemang Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Everybody danns now aha Hopefully this was the game where we change our season around
Izzet is God Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 We have definetly got the potential to be there...but are we going to be consistent enough? With 4 clean sheets on the bounce and an unbeaten run starting it looks promising. Still a long way to go yet though so lets not get too ahead of ourselves over the derby result. I think it's going to be tough, just hope we can!

Fook knows who will win the league this year. My money is and always has been on west ham but they've had a few funny results themselves. By Christmas the picture will be clearer. The championship is a lot more exciting than the prem this year IMO.
