acooling08 Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Well, Jacket made Sven look like a fvcking mug. Millwall know how to play in this League. This isn't Serie A, this is the English Second Division. They sat back and (easily) absorbed our possession european-style football. They attacked with real pace and purpose, and took their chances. I remember them having 4 chances, and they scored 3 times. The standout moment for me was us spending 5 minutes pissing about on the half way line, Millwall snatched the ball, ran at us at speed, whipped the ball in and scored. Easy as you like. They almost didn't bother celebrating the third goal, as if they knew it was easily won at half time. Is it too much to ask to play like that, to match a bottom 3 side who hadn't won in 10? Reading at Home - Terrible. Bristol at Home - Terrible. Barnsley - Poor. Cardiff - Tear-jerkingly boring. Boro - Ditto. Brum - Ditto. Watford - Poor Second Half. Millwall - Poor. I don't want Sven out (yet), and he seems like a really nice guy, but if we aren't in the Top 6 by January, he has to go because of the money spent and lack of progress.
Guest shearfox Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Danns needs to start and so does Gallagher, both have a creative spark that was simply lacking today.
J.Lisemore Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 2nd half v Southampton. Still don't know how we won.
acooling08 Posted 22 October 2011 Author Posted 22 October 2011 2nd half v Southampton. Still don't know how we won. I had that in the list but deleted it. It wasn't good at all second half but I thought a win against the League leaders made the performance irrelevant
BlueSi13 Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Agreed, our performances are the most concerning thing. One good performance against Derby County is a poor return for the owners outlay.

acooling08 Posted 22 October 2011 Author Posted 22 October 2011 So, raging optimists, how many MORE times do we have to play badly before you realise we can't get promoted at this rate?
dannythefox Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Roll on jan we need a winger and a striker!
Legend_in_blue Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 So, raging optimists, how many MORE times do we have to play badly before you realise we can't get promoted at this rate? The optimists are deluded. It doesn't matter who is in the team. The most concerning thing about all of this is that, despite being here for over a year now, Sven still doesn't have it in him, the know-how, the footballing sense, call it what you will, to do something to change the game. All he does is switch players around in his little system. A system which is so damn predictable and devoid of alternatives, it's absurd. Sven - sort out a PLAN B!!! World-class manager? No, world-class chump.
