Adster Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11712/7272076/ Leicester City have been linked with a move for former Celtic forward Teddy Bjarnason. The 24-year-old Icelandic international has one-year left on his current deal with IFK Gothenburg, but he has confirmed that he would consider a move back abroad. Bjarnason, a striker or winger, spent four-years with Celtic, but he made just one appearance for The Bhoys. "If a good foreign club makes an offer, I would like to move." Bjarnasson told Sportbladet. "But do I get a key role, I might consider to stay. It depends on the new coach and what he wants."
Amin Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 For a second there I thought he was in for the managerial job.
irDeano Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 God, can't they at least wait until we've got a new manager before starting these crap transfer rumours again?
Corky Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 One appearance in four years for Celtic? Wonderful career.
BIEREDeLuxe Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Don't do this to me. Before I even opened the thread i was on oddschecker seeing what price he was.
Adster Posted 28 October 2011 Author Posted 28 October 2011 His record for a striker is woeful. Scored like 6 goals in his whole career.
inckley fox Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Seems someone rates him. Is this a hangover from the old Sven era (the Swedish link), a case of the board acting alone / on advice from within coaching staff, or is it a case of lining up someone our anonymous new manager - assuming he's already lined-up - would like to bring in? Certainly it'd have to be someone who's watched him very very closely, there's no obvious reason for wanting him. He was at Celtic under Strachan, never played a game. And O'Neill signed him. If it's not rubbish, and not a Svenscapade then could it be the board acting on one of their suggestions?
Zingari Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 he sounds like a Scandinavian cartoon character
