1964FOX Posted 16 November 2011 Posted 16 November 2011 No it's not his fault that the atmosphere is shit, it's just that him banging on that bloody drum adds to the shitness making us an embarrassment to away fans who continually take the piss. What's next, music played over the sound system to generate an atmosphere during the game. A bit of status quo, Tina turner and queen anyone. Don't even joke about that, I'm sure it will happen at a ground somewhere just hope it's not ours. I only wish we could drown out his drum with constant noise and so does he.
Father Ted Posted 16 November 2011 Posted 16 November 2011 And you think we sound better typical deluded city fan. No, you're just too blind to see that pretty much every team in this division has awful home support. Even West Ham only had like a group of 30 fans singing next to the away fans. Most folk in L1 are just wind-up merchants, the type of "fans" who are as irritating as hell when seen at away grounds. Think Millwall, Forest or Hull for example. Have you ever been in L1?
lcfc"weasel" Posted 17 November 2011 Posted 17 November 2011 It'll never be any good purely because the club couldn't care shit, and it makes me sick. Look at Palace and what their fans are allowed to do. Far better club in terms of fan treatment than us, I'm sure. They don't have it as easy as you think, they're just more prepared to say 'fvck you' to the person in charge of safety at Selhurst Park, whereas very few are prepared to do this at Filbert Way.
city1993 Posted 17 November 2011 Posted 17 November 2011 Doesn't matter what we do, Filbert Street can never be replicated it now seems. You'll always get the odd game when it really matters and we'll rise up to the occasion but as a general rule we're the Championship's Arsenal
AndyBrew Posted 18 November 2011 Posted 18 November 2011 I finally gave up going to watch football this season, I have continued to throw my cash at the club over many years, since being married and having children I have even dragged my wife and son along. I have told my son about some of the games at filbo and my brother has told him some stories to leaving him full of excitement and expectation however it just doesn't happen in any way shape of form and he is left feeling let down and I'm sad he will never experience the days I have had in the past Unfortunately football isn't football anymore and although it filled an important part of my live I have now realised it simply doesn't do it for me anymore and I now understand it will never change and clinging onto a vague hope that one day it will return to the masses and become the great spectator sport it was will never happen So now I choose to do track days in my spare time and get a similar buzz, my time for Leicester City is now split between a couple of forums and listening out for the result on the radio and the odd radio Leicester moan in when I'm driving home from work.

Shame, but understandable; try taking the lad to an away game where there will be an atmosphere.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 18 November 2011 Posted 18 November 2011 I can't believe this thread has come up. According to some on here we have the best support in the country?
The Year Of The Fox Posted 18 November 2011 Posted 18 November 2011 But five years ago, if you asked any fan in the championship which ground had the worst atmosphere and the quietest fans, the name "Britannia" would have featured heavily. Yet look at (and listen to) it now! If we, or a number of clubs in this league, had the run of relative success that Stoke have had, then the noise and atmosphere could be transformed. Most folk in L1 are just wind-up merchants, the type of "fans" who are as irritating as hell when seen at away grounds. Think Millwall, Forest or Hull for example. What? Are you sure? Come into L block for a game.

We miss you mate, hopefully we will see you again. As suggested perhaps a decent away day every now and then.
Weller in Tights Posted 18 November 2011 Posted 18 November 2011 ANDY BREW< HOW DEPRESSING!!!!????? The only way to counter this is to go City (sorry for the poor grammar. I am Leicester born and bred, and make that difference, even if just in your own little corner. We have a little group of old gits and a few of our kids, up at the back of the family stand and we make our own little world. true, when the game is shite its hard to cope, but when its good!!!! it is fun. 51 bit of an old git, but Leicester till I die
Weller in Tights Posted 18 November 2011 Posted 18 November 2011 sorry missed a bracket in there somewher, who can work out where, prize for the first correct answer. Except for OOh Tommy Wright, he's a willy puller
yorkie1999 Posted 18 November 2011 Posted 18 November 2011 Why can't everyone in l1 move to the kop and stop bothering with the away fans.
