Lcfclee Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 I work most Saturdays so I don't get to see as many games as I'd like but those I do get to attend seem to be getting quieter part from jobbers area and a few sporadic areas in the kop it's like being at an Aylestone park game I remember we had a real rapturous support when we first moved to the new ground and every now and then we replicate it ie Leeds in league 1 but it's rare. Sorry to bring this up but it's just my opinion . Come on boys make some NOISE :
bluearmyfox23 Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 I will agree i have a season ticket in the kop and when i look over to L1 there Allways singing and jobber is allways playing his drum but the last 2-3 games it seems to be prity dull !!
flowwolf Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 Perhaps if they gave us something to make a noise about it would help. :frusty:

Mike the Metal Ed Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 Never going to happen, no matter how many threads there are. We're THAT kind of club now, unfortunately.
bluearmyfox23 Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 Perhaps if we encouraged more then the players would pick up on it Agreed !!
Burmesefox Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 Last 2 games have been very poor but we are in teh doldrums at the moment. I have to say that having sat in the kop there is far more atmosphere in p1 of teh family stand and more singing.
ithuriel Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 There has been a lot of noise when we have had good games at the Walkers/KP but for the past two seasons there have been very few games to get excited about. In fact since we moved to the new stadia, apart from going up under Adams and Pearsons time in charge and Svens first few months and then the odd game, the footy has been pretty dire uninspiring rubbish, a decade of tedium, soul draining rubbish.
Yojoe36 Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 Put the away fans in H1, G2 and G1 DONE!! OR knock-down half of the east stand. Put an extra tier on the south stand. The top tier is where everyone from L1 to H1 now sits. Away fans in the east stand.
acooling08 Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 I've got a great idea, we should move the Kop next to the away fans!
flowwolf Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 Perhaps if we encouraged more then the players would pick up on it So their piss poor performances are down to us not " encouraging" them enough. you would have thought the kind of money they are on it would be a given that they run themselves into the ground with out any need to be " encouraged" ? Stop making excuses and get into the real world. :frusty: :frusty:
bluearmyfox23 Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 Swap the family stand with the kop then jobs a gooden !!

Absolutely. Too many City players have seemed intimidated by the size of the stadium. They have been employed at the wrong club, and in some cases in the wrong profession.
iancognito Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 This gets a new thread every few weeks and sadly it's not going to change. The club won't move anything as they don't want rivalry they want a family atmosphere and the other thing is the acoustics in the ground. If you sit in what used to be Pen One you can barely hear L1 and vice versa. Too many happy clappers, too many families, too much apathy full stop. The old days of singing your hearts out, singing each player's name etc are gone and I've given up any hope of getting them back.
flowwolf Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 I agree cognito, but remember the Derby game when we actually had something to shout about ? different again and just how it should be. I think when you have stumped up hard earned cash for a ticket and see these over paid under achievers take the piss then you can kiss your arse good by to any :dunno: :dunno: " Atmosphere"
Leicester_Loyal Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 Perhaps if we encouraged more then the players would pick up on it Absolute ****ing bollocks. Some of us pay hundreds of pounds to watch them play week in week out. They get paid thousands a day, and they still put on piss poor performances. If anyone needs a kick up the arse its not the fans, its the players.
lcfc_sam_p Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 I'd still say our home support is one of the best in the league. Can't think of many teams in the league who have better.

step Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 Sky sports news have just stated that they have news about city's new manager
wellyfox Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 I'd still say our home support is one of the best in the league. Can't think of many teams in the league who have better. What a load of bollocks. We get good numbers at home thats it. I remember the Oxford game at filbert st and one goal saving us. The whole ground was up for it out there seats and getting behind the lads. Against shef weds the atmosphere was shite. Peeps around me sat like they were watching a royal wedding on telly. They complained to the stewards cos i stood up trying to get a little life and some support going. other than numbers our support is fvcking shite IMO And don't turn around and say was great aginst the tree's or leeds look what it's like against the barnsley's. Filbert st in the 70's and 80's was 10x times better have heard 12k make more noise than 24k in the kp
wellyfox Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 Sky sports news have just stated that they have news about city's new manager So what is it FFS
Nick Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 Tell me about it, I opened this thread hoping there was a new library somewhere, only to find the same old tosh.
wellyfox Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 Swap the family stand with the kop then jobs a gooden !! Might work but the police and council would never allow it
wellyfox Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 Tell me about it, I opened this thread hoping there was a new library somewhere, only to find the same old tosh. Curse of the new ground and times Nick. Back to the bad old days a few scraps in and around the ground n you will get atmosphere. Get rid of the women and families Jobs a good un If thats what you really want?
lcfc_sam_p Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 So who's is better? Leeds, west ham? Cardiff maybe on their day. Southampton? Forest, cov, derby, donny, reading, boro, ipswich, watford, peterborough, barnsley, bristol city, brighton, millwall, portsmouth, birming and blackpool certainly don't. Maybe palace, not sure if they still have decent support.
