HandsomeBob Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 Alright lads, I'm looking for some help and this is the best place I could think to come for some decent advice from fellow football fans - I'm a dirty Scotsman and support my local team Dunfermline Athletic (hopefully you've heard of them). Anyway, let's cut to the chase, I'm looking to purchase a new watch and came across this place in Loughborough - Lingray Watches / The Watch Den I have searched online for reviews but couldn't really find anything convincing and I just want to make sure the stuff they sell is genuine. Seeing as your town ain't too far away I was hoping someone or someone you know has been to this place or bought from it before and can vouch for them? Cheers, HB
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 I was a Loughborough lad up to a couple of years ago and ive never heard of the place
Rincewind Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 been to the beer festival there. No watch shops in Dunfirmline?
Saxondale Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 Likewise, I grew up / live near Loughborough and I've never heard of it either. Must be newish. That's not to say it's not a proper place, of course.

Was born in Dunfie and lived there for 7 years, try to get back to East End Park whenever possible - looking forward to coming up to St Mirren Park on Saturday... Although I don't know anything about the Loughborough watch shop I'm afraid!
HandsomeBob Posted 15 November 2011 Author Posted 15 November 2011 been to the beer festival there. No watch shops in Dunfirmline? There are the standard jewellers you get in most towns, however the place above is dirt cheap as they claim that due to not being a recommended retailer of brands such as Armani etc that they do not have to stick to the manufacturers price guide. Just looks too good to be true, however if they have an actual high street store then I reckon it can't be counterfeit goods?

East End Park is nothing but a morgue these days, away days are a much better day out...I'll be heading through to check out the Midden's new ground on Saturday as well!
JoeyB Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 its only recently opened up, been inside i5 once and it looks alright, don't know much else, but all watches will come with a year or 2 guarantee......
Webbo Posted 15 November 2011 Posted 15 November 2011 They used to be on EBay based in Whitwick (I think). I didn't know they had a shop now.
HandsomeBob Posted 16 November 2011 Author Posted 16 November 2011 Cheers folks, think I will just bite the bullet and go for it, what the worst that could happen??!!??
Saxondale Posted 16 November 2011 Posted 16 November 2011 To be fair, their shop address is a proper high street location - so you wouldn't expect them to be bandits as they wouldn't last a minute.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 16 November 2011 Posted 16 November 2011 I am half Scottish, and lived in Dundee for over two years. I have been to Dunfermline a few times.I hope you get a decent watch at a good price.
