Anger over matchday parking.

It's for a couple of hours every week or even fortnight! What a petty little bitch. Hate how she is stood there with her kid in her arms as if that somehow lends weight to her pathetic argument. Maybe she should just get a life and go out on Saturday afternoons like a normal person.

It says £5 on the way in there I always see the sign that's why I don't park in there!

That's BS, no offence

it's free! British gas get free season tickets, therefore you don't pay for anything to park there on match days...

This woman sounds like she thinks she owns the road. Unfortunately for her she doesn't and everybody has the same right to park on it as she does. Not sure which bit of that she finds complicated!

What's with the stupid pick showing her kid looking sad...trying to make people feel sympathy for her? Sorry love, I don't.

"you can't go out anywhere without fear of losing your parking space." - where to start?? This is winding me up!!!

Simple answer, bring a law in to say if you don't have a drive, you can't own a car. Would solve all the parking and blocked roads problems

I guess you've got a drive then ;)

I'm not being funny, and I'm not saying no one should drive to the football because that would include myself, also where do you pay £7.50 to park????

The club has no need to lay on buses for the whole of Leicestershire. There are supporters club coaches (I think?) from the likes of Coalville, Lutterworth and other such places a little further away, but anyone who lives in Leicester can surely just catch a bus in to town? It's not like it's an hours walk away is it? I live not too far away from Hamilton, can catch a bus that takes me to town and back for less than 4 quid and just take a 10 minute walk from the train station down to the ground.

I won't do this very often because I am in fact lazy, and when I do fancy more than a couple of pre match beers with my mates then this is the choice I have.

I asked the original question because somebody earlier in this thread stated that there are buses laid on that take you to the ground from most areas of Leicester? i pay silly money to park at the hotel next to the ground, i park that close because i'm disabled and have trouble walking, so walking from the city centre is out of the question as is walking from the train station, i didn't know there was a bus i could get from Hamilton to the train station even if i could walk that far

I live in Hamilton on the east side of Leicester,

....and that's living is it? :(

There is ALWAYS (free) spaces at British gas on match days about a 30 second walk from where she is..!.. No way would she have to walk any distance from her house and granted more fans should use it too.......

But I encounter the same problem as her I live near to the aylestone road however I don't believe I have the right to park in front of my house so I just get on with my life on the few occasions I have to walk... Lazy c**ts

1. Plan your time better around days you know it will be busy

2. Don't be so fecking clueless and move to a house on a busy main round with a football club/ rugby/ cricket club up the road, then think you have the rite for a permit space

3. Make use of your legs more, public transport.

For me the council should definitely ignore this, would be a nail in the coffin for match day parking and another barrier to people going to watch city - the stadium looks half full most of the time

As for ignoring illegal parked cars I've lost count the amount of cars I've walked passed with tickets on the front after matches.... This women just comes across as petty, bitter and in need of losing that chip on her shoulder... More important things in life and more important things for the council to be spending there money on

Is that british gas free parking true? I always park on boundary road but would happily use the bg site if it's FOC.

Yes I believe so, I've never paid and I see everybody park and walk out as they wish - they have 2 lads there usually for security - and I know bg have the season tickets...

If u do have to pay then am shocked as ive been parking there for years lol

I have parked on Saffron lane for years, very similar restrictions to Aylestone Road, however this woman is tempting me to move to Aylestone road.

I'm with those who think she has no argument, it's legal to park there at the weekend and has been for many years for anyone. Owning a house there does not give you parking rights.

Anyone up for a protest outside her house, we could hold placards "park here all weekend for free"

There are buses that use certain routes on match days mate. You simply pay a set fare based upon where you are picked up from.

If you contact the LCFC supporters club they will be able to give you the routes. I used to live in Glenfield and know one such bus goes from Loughborough, through Glenny..
