davieG Posted 8 December 2011 Posted 8 December 2011 OS City's Under-18s kick off their FA Youth Cup campaign next Wednesday night (14 December) with a third round tie against Aldershot Town at King Power Stadium. Always a great opportunity for supporters to see the next generation of Foxes stars in action, the FA Youth Cup has been a development ground for some of the best talent to emerge from the City academy down the years. The likes of Emile Heskey, Andy King and, more recently, Jeff Schlupp have all starred for the Foxes in the competition, which has also served as a stage for the grand talents of world stars such as George Best, David Beckham and Wayne Rooney. City's Youth Team reached the quarter-finals of the competition last season, the first time in 20 years that the Club has progressed as far, giving the current crop of youngsters a lot to live up to as they embark on this year's campaign. Wednesday night's game kicks off at 7pm, with admission priced £3 for Adults and £1 for Under-18s.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 They are the future. Up the Fox cubs or whatever they are called

Danny the Fox 95 Posted 14 December 2011 Posted 14 December 2011 That Harry Panatitiou or whatever his name is brilliant. I've played against him and he's just like Cameron Jerome. Absulutely rapid and very strong, but he's actually good
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 14 December 2011 Posted 14 December 2011 harry panayiotou got the third told you he's good

ramadaone Posted 14 December 2011 Posted 14 December 2011 The best bit about the evening was laffing at the 5 or 6 Aldershot chavs making complete arse's of themselves City were too good/strong in every department and were at half pace for virtually all of the second half after some clinical finishing led them to being 4 up at half time For me To Hopper is head and shoulders above the rest of the team and must have a big chance of making it - 2 or 3 looked ok but think the rest will struggle - hope I'm completely wrong but the Academy results so far seem to indicate this isn't a vintage crop.Having said that at least the boys have done better than Leeds,Wolves,Villa,Sunderland and Liverpool who are already out

As for the team I think there was a fair few missing from the normal academy team and I wouldn't pay to much heed to academy results when we were the best performing team in the league I didn't notice many graduating to the 1st team and we were shit at this competition, results at this level give no real indication of individual potential

Still think they were chavs but fair play for coming all that way !!
C.J Posted 15 December 2011 Posted 15 December 2011 How did that Sesay get on seeing as there was quite a fuss when we signed him?
ramadaone Posted 15 December 2011 Posted 15 December 2011 He did all that was asked of him without being anything out of the ordinary - my theory in games like that is if you have any thoughts of being a decent pro then you really need to stick out like a sore thumb which Tom Hopper did for me
