DB11 Posted 13 December 2011 Posted 13 December 2011 I always seem to look at a clock when the time is 9:11. Erm. That's it. When I'm drinking I always look at the clock and it happens to be 22:22
Stay Positive Posted 13 December 2011 Author Posted 13 December 2011 Me and the family were in Bangkok earlier in the year and whilst at a skytrain station a family asked us how to use the ticket system. We were going to the same part of town so got chatting on the train ,i asked them where in the uk they were from and they said Cambridge they then asked us if we were going on anywhere after Bangkok and i said Koh Samui, 90 min flight away(Tongsai Bay check it out.)now this complex only had 70 odd cottages on the hillside and they were in the same resort a few cottages away.Just weird, still keep in touch and visit each other, the only time i have ever done that after a holiday think it was just all these coincidences, the bloke was a Charlton supporter so we spent our days paying homage to Chris Powell! I had a similar experience. I met a Canadian girl on a trip round Europe and went to stay with her in Calgary in the early nineties. She took me to meet her friend's flatmates, and I was chatting to one of them who said it was good to speak to a Brit as his family is from England. I asked him where and he said Leicester. Surprised, I asked him whereabouts in Leicester and he said "Not sure - let me check", and went to his file and pulled out a card with his family's address on it. Not only did it say Oadby, but it said Ash Tree Road, which is two roads away - and about 1 minute's walk) from where I lived with MY family!
BoneDog Posted 13 December 2011 Posted 13 December 2011 Something lcfcstu said in another thread about hoping there are witnesses has just reminded me of a coincidence. Years ago when I was still a teen I used to do the old police line-ups for cash. The station was just around the corner from where I worked so I did a fair few I think. Was on one line-up and it was for a burglary. A copper said that someone had been seen after a burglary walking down the street carrying a big all in one stereo thing. He mentioned the colour, that it was a Panasonic and also the model. I had happened to buy the exact same stereo a week or two before off some 'local lad' and it had pride of place in my bedroom. Thought I was goin down for 10 years but I didn't get picked (which would have been a miscarraige of justice, I knew nothing of any burglary).
flowwolf Posted 14 December 2011 Posted 14 December 2011 A couple of years ago i had a fling with my wife's sister and your not going to believe this but both of their reproductive organs looked exactly the same. You couldn't make it up .
Fox92 Posted 16 December 2011 Posted 16 December 2011 When I failed my driving test (I have passed now, but, when I first took it I got 3 minors but failed for driving too fast) I walked back through the door, turned on the radio, and 'Drive My Car' by The Beatles come on the radio.
The Doctor Posted 16 December 2011 Posted 16 December 2011 with you that's not that much of a co-incidence, it's probably tuned to beatles radio - like Gem 106 but with less variety.
Fox92 Posted 16 December 2011 Posted 16 December 2011 with you that's not that much of a co-incidence, it's probably tuned to beatles radio - like Gem 106 but with less variety. It was. Anyway, I don't often listen to the radio because I have all of their songs on my iPod. I just found it strange.
The Doctor Posted 16 December 2011 Posted 16 December 2011 What, It was tuned to Beatles radio or it was a coincidence?
I am Rod Hull Posted 16 December 2011 Posted 16 December 2011 When I failed my driving test (I have passed now, but, when I first took it I got 3 minors but failed for driving too fast) I walked back through the door, turned on the radio, and 'Drive My Car' by The Beatles come on the radio. It would have been a coincidence if you had taken your test in a VW Beetle...
