Except, if my old memory serves me right, at the exact point in time, Stoke paid us a lot of money for him and so were seen to be more ambitious than us - I couldn't believe he went there, but accepted they must have been determined to better themselves by buying a big name- also, with hindsight, maybe he thought time to move on as the Weller/Wortho era was not going to get any higher.

I can remember the "Wortho ... your Mrs.. " chant at Stoke away not long after he left us.

It was also chanted at Filbert street qiute often

I have no doubt that Shiltons team is Leicester, you can't change your side. You can have a soft spot for another, but you've got them for life, it's. An option.

That day l told him about when I was a kid collecting autographs at the training ground and he gave me and my mate a lift in his car to Filbert street. He said he did that because David Gibson did the same for him, when he was a kid collecting autographs, trust me he's Leicester.

Found this in Wikipedai. It was the first game I went to see Leicester on my own. I lived in Hampshire and had to make do with following Portsmouh for my live football (I know!). it was quite intimidating going to the Dell on my own and not as part of the Leicester support. I managed to find my way to the away supporters end and watched as Shilton caught the ball, kicked it up field and the ball bounced and flew over Forsyth's head into the net. A bit hairy gettting back to the railway station but a great afternoon out none the less.

"Shilton settled into first team life thereafter, even managing to score a goal at The Dell against Southampton in October 1967 direct from a clearance at the opposite end of the pitch. The Southampton goalkeeper, Campbell Forsyth, misjudged Shilton's long punt upfield, which, instead of splashing harmlessly in the mud, spun off The Dell pitch and flew over Forsyth's head into the goal. "The Saints" lost the game 5–1.^[7]"

There were so many more goals in the 60s. It seems every match that is mentioned from that era we scored or conceded 5.
