Anyone with half a brain knows that if you are looking to win a game, you don't make change on the 84th minute and the 87th. so yes Pearson got it totally wrong!

So you're telling me that no team has won a game if they've made a substitution on the 84th minute? You should write a coaching manual so no manager ever makes such a silly mistake ever again.

Yes that's precisely what I said! If you sub on Howard that equals one thing the hoof! He then subs on Schlupp to run at their defence for the last 5mins of the game. That's quality tactics for me.

Sure in other games substitutions can be left to the last minute, but Schlupp should have come on earlier, he instantly caused them problems.

So if you want to read whatever you feel into the posts I make, fire away, you should write a manual on forums, you're clearly an expert.

I don't claim to be an expert. You're the one that has suggested NP has half a brain.

Your argument's the wrong way round. There's no way Fenandes or Danns can show consistent form - for exactly the reason that neither have been selected consistently. If they were given a run of 6 games in their favoured position, and didn't perform well, then you might reasonably argue that they haven't succeeded.

If they aren't being picked then I can reasonably argue that they haven't succeeded. Don't get me wrong, I don't think wellens and king are great. I don't think any of the current clutch of midfielders are world beaters. Johnson was class two years ago but clearly the injuries have taken there toll.

In that instance yes, I'd question his brain size. He doesn't always get it wrong, but it's not the first time he's made a late sub when we're desperate for the win. Beckford against Donny for example, he made one sub, and that was Beckford on the 77th minute. Our midfield were playing dross and he made ONE sub. We were desperate for some ideas. I'm pointing out his errors. If you are holding a torch for Pearson then please extinguish it. you can relight it when we actually start winning some games eh?

Maybe with Fernandes, but Danns has had chances and has been diabolical in general. I do not see what he offers, he's just not very good.

I think Pearson is the best of a limited number of realistic options we had. Give him time to fix the malaise that Sven built. On that basis I'll keep my Pearson torch lit for now mate. Time you extinguished your Sven one though.
