sphericalfox Posted 26 December 2011 Posted 26 December 2011 Why put Schlupp on so fooking late! Ridiculous!
MikeyT Posted 26 December 2011 Author Posted 26 December 2011 Predictable. Very. Unfortunately yes.Freekick right on the edge *crosses fingers*
MikeyT Posted 26 December 2011 Author Posted 26 December 2011 Mini heart attack time. 4 minutes stoppage time.
MikeyT Posted 26 December 2011 Author Posted 26 December 2011 Konch should take a free kick or two And Abe
Basingstoke Fox Posted 26 December 2011 Posted 26 December 2011 Very cynical tackle by Gally there. Good on him!
funkyrobot Posted 26 December 2011 Posted 26 December 2011 Obviously we have different opinions and you've as much right to yours as I have to mine. Danns and Gelson are better than anyone we have in midfield today. they support the defenders and the attackers - they need a playmaker with them but that is certainly not Wellens. King and Gally have their moments but have their deficiencies defensively. I'm pretty sure that our reuslts defensively are better with Danns and gelson in support than not. I like our GK and back 4 but they need midfield cover. I like nugent and Beckford SHOULD be good but they have no support from midfield. Gally plays on his own The only problem with your argument is Sven also wasn't picking fernandes or danns regularly. Neither have demonstrated consistently that they are better than any of our other midfielders, whatever their history. That is a fact demonstrated by their lack of game time under either manager. Not opinion. Fact.
Guest Posted 26 December 2011 Posted 26 December 2011 And why take Beckford off when we are just going to hoof it up front for the last 10 mins - midfield not needed

sphericalfox Posted 26 December 2011 Posted 26 December 2011 Really looking forward to Nigel's response to that shower of um erm shite.
funkyrobot Posted 26 December 2011 Posted 26 December 2011 Why put Schlupp on so fooking late! Ridiculous! Surprised you aren't manager mate, you clearly think you can do a better job than NP. )
cc_star Posted 26 December 2011 Posted 26 December 2011 And why take Beckford off when we are just going to hoof it up front for the last 10 mins - midfield not needed Because he's never going to amount to anything for us... dunno even know why he's starting ahead of Schlupp. Still, thankfully his nightmare here is drawing to a close, hopefully about another 10 players join him in the exit door too
sphericalfox Posted 26 December 2011 Posted 26 December 2011 Surprised you aren't manager mate, you clearly think you can do a better job than NP. ) Anyone with half a brain knows that if you are looking to win a game, you don't make change on the 84th minute and the 87th. so yes Pearson got it totally wrong!
ibbosuk Posted 26 December 2011 Posted 26 December 2011 Nowhere near good enough, just a very very average championship side. Looked poor again today. Forget all about promotion with this lot!
funkyrobot Posted 26 December 2011 Posted 26 December 2011 not it's opinion. They aren't playing. That is not an opinion. That is a fact.
Callabinho Posted 26 December 2011 Posted 26 December 2011 Utter crap, First half typically over run, second we improved but not because of King, Because Abe did his job. Thought Beckford had a good game today, but the midfield needs a complete re-think, even selling a few of the favorites....If that is a response to the riot act being read out post Donny, we have problems big problems.
ealingfox Posted 26 December 2011 Posted 26 December 2011 Agree that the subs were made too late, don't understand why so many managers do it. 5-10 minutes is very rarely enough time to make an impact
Corky Posted 26 December 2011 Posted 26 December 2011 Very unimpressed, yet not surprised really. We can talk the talk but when it comes to showing it on the pitch, for the third straight game, we cannot produce an effective performance to back up the words. So deflating to watch us currently.
deep blue Posted 26 December 2011 Posted 26 December 2011 The only problem with your argument is Sven also wasn't picking fernandes or danns regularly. Neither have demonstrated consistently that they are better than any of our other midfielders, whatever their history. That is a fact demonstrated by their lack of game time under either manager. Not opinion. Fact. Your argument's the wrong way round. There's no way Fenandes or Danns can show consistent form - for exactly the reason that neither have been selected consistently. If they were given a run of 6 games in their favoured position, and didn't perform well, then you might reasonably argue that they haven't succeeded.
