Fox92 Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 I don't understand all this 'Maynard/Sharp/new striker in and Beckford out'. We play that direct that no striker who likes to play football less direct, like Beckford, will be able to get into the game. Especially when the midfield are not creating too many chances either. Beckford just seems to be another player that seems to get stick which isn't too deserved. He did nothing wrong against Ipswich, yet fans still cheered when he went off.
Legend_in_blue Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 maynard in beckford out, 2 good wingers, and hopefully happy new year. No, no, no, no, no... Maynard in Beckford out, Messi in "four days a week" Wellens out, 2 world-class wingers, and top 2 finish.
Fox96 Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 maynard in beckford out. What are you gaining there? Beckford isn't the problem, we don't play his style of football and i'm pretty sure he was in a wide role yesterday. If we did them deals in the summer someone would be moaning "maynard out ......... in" and so on. Maynard would do no different to what our current strikers have done.
stillwater Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Should be clearing out the old guard, And letting some of the summer signings have a go, the players that beat the likes of Southampton,Brighton,Derby 4-0 haven't become bad players. Two wins in the last seven isn't good enough clear out time!!!
GREG LCFC Posted 27 December 2011 Author Posted 27 December 2011 have u seen beckford play he cant win a header or make a tackle.
Legend_in_blue Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 The only way we are going to progress is by bringing in decent, young, talented players who can make an impact at this level and go on to greater things at a higher level - hopefully with us. Take Peltier for example. Never heard of him before the season started, taken out of league one and he is one of the best performers in the team. There must be more like him in League one. I say get players in from that league who can make an impact and who have something to play for to further their careers, rather than take premiership has-beens or persist with players who are clearly past it at this level ala "four days a week" Wellens.
