chili_con_carne Posted 28 December 2011 Posted 28 December 2011 For all you betters out there - anyone noticed how Leicester to win are always stupid odds on prices? It's the sort of odds you would expect for Southampton or West Ham who are top of the league. The odds should reflect the team's current form. Anyway Portsmouth to win - draw no bet - are 11/4 on saturday. I never usually bet on my own team but im sticking £30 on it. That way if Leicester win i'm chuffed, if we draw im gutted but get my money back, but if we lose im gutted but have bagged over a hundred quid. A winner whatever happens!
Jace Posted 28 December 2011 Posted 28 December 2011 Its a great idea I think I've done this a few times for knockout England matches in World Cup/Euros. A few of my mates didn't get it and said I was disloyal to bet against the team I support. I wish I had done it for several of our matches recently
VinceNoir Posted 28 December 2011 Posted 28 December 2011 My Grandma uses this "tactic" week in week out.

The odds on City reflect the fact that the bookies think they have to come good at some point... It's just fookin 'when'!
Alexikokopops Posted 29 December 2011 Posted 29 December 2011 Fez did this on us to get relegated the season we went down. Every cloud...
ramadaone Posted 29 December 2011 Posted 29 December 2011 Been laying City on Betfair for weeks - payed for Xmas and New Year !! The bottom line is that the odds are wrong and are based on reputation rather than form - sorry but will be laying again against Portsmouth as currently I'm not sure there is much between the 2 teams
