I think one of the main problems in january will be attracting players I mean were mid-table at the moment any player is gonna think there gonna struggle to go up why would you come ? apart from the money but some players actually want to ahieve promation for the record i think if pearson does get the players he wants we could could go on a run towards the play offs

Attracting players will be a problem but the money will help us,not that I believe thats a good thing. However if I was Nigel I'd be frank with the players, tell them this season is out of our reach it will be a half season to enjoy your football, improve and grow into the football club, then next season we will have a great chance of going up to PL with a better squad than Hull/Reading/whichever club this year. Yoh can add that we will also be able to spend in the PL to improve so could stay up for longer than Hull. Then if the player wants to stay he does, if he joins he is under no illusions, or he moves up a level anyway. And with the pressure lifted we may even go on a miracle run and pip a team like Hull(unlikely)

In alll honestly i am as pissed as everyone else BUT i'm not worrying yet, Yes we are struggling, Yes we should be at least 4th. Yes we should be winning games we are drawing stupidly and Yes there are players that need to get there acts together and some players the need to be nudged gently towards the exit, yet i am still not paniking!

January will be OK players wise, Pearson knows what he's up to! He's never let us down before and took us closer to the prem as we've ever been since the drop! Sensible players will want to work under Pearson and if all else fails throw cash at them!!

What's wrong with being Nigel?

Think the Thais have had enough of big name's, they got Nigel back after all :xmaslaugh:

Guess they have realised that big name player's dropping down to this level are a massive and expensive gamble.

A bigger problem I think will be offloading the players Pearson don't want..

The wages being the biggest obstacle.

I don't think Pearson wants a very big squad containing players that don't wanna be here. And this is what he may well be left with.

I don't think people understand the magnitude of the situation, the Thais want big name players for their King Power, obviously they are not going to drop down to this level. When we do reach the prem they will probably discard NP, and bring someone with more high profile.

This is what concerns me

The last thing Pearson needs is some big time, non-acheiving twat who's sat on the sidelines causing unrest

The squad is massively unbalanced, we've known that since the 1st home game of the season... Pearson knows it too (he said so in his interview yesterday)

He said he wants to strengthen a couple of areas and get rid of the dead wood

Getting rid of the dead wood is going to be just about as important, because whoever comes in... we don't want the dead wood's corrosive influence bringing them down to the level we've performaed at for most of the season.

Agree entirely with this

IMO Getting rid of the dead wood will be harder than getting players in.

And with our form and standing in the league that's gonna be fvcking hard.

And for all those that say we have got money it;s not gonna be a problem.

The Money Is The FVCKING PROBLEM.

That's why we have so much dead wood and paying huge wages to get these guy's in means we are fvcked if they don't perform.

Also I would rather players want to be here than just in it for the cash.

Look at it from our point of view if you are doing a cushy job and they are trying to get rid of you, you'll do anything to keep it same goes with them
