So its all about how far down the line the tragedy happened?

Don't agree with either chant but yes it DOES matter how far down the line the tragedy happened. No one would be particularly sensitive if I started singing songs about all the people that died during the great plague or in the battle of hastings. They'd just think I was fvcking weird.

That's an extreme example but the principal stands. Neither chant is acceptable but there are definitely degrees of offence, related to a number of factors, one of which is how long ago it happened.

Can't imagine that it's true, and any person who makes up such rumours just to paint another team's support in a negative light is almost as bad as if there really was someone chanting that stuff.

What the fcuk?

What? Does a caption saying "Your son's a cvnt and so are you" to a Sharp image not bother you?

Apparently alot of Barnsely fans have done this. And when I say "alot" I mean loads

My "what the ****" was in reference to the guys page? What sort of mentality of person can actually do something like that.

More shocking of one his 150 odd friends have not had the balls to say something.

There is a difference between singing where's your Cloughie gone, and taking the piss out of someone's dead kid. I remember singing where's your Cloughie gone 15 years ago, when he left Forest. He wasn't dead, it was more a point in saying that without him you are nothing, the only thing that made you good has gone. I haven't sung it since he died, but the fact that it was sung before he died means it is not just "Ha ha he's dead" but more you are nothing without Clough.

I think it was pretty bad singing it against Derby when his son was in charge, but like I said this chant has been around longer than he has been dead. Not saying it is right, but it is not comparable to saying shit about Billy Sharp's kid.
