The Year Of The Fox Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 Doing the rounds on twitter that they were singing, 'wheres your baby gone?' to Billy Sharpe today Disgrace if true
FrankieADZ Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 disgraceful...just shows there fans have a total lack of respect & I certainly wouldnt piss on any of them who chant it if they was on fire. just shows the class of fan they must have to sink so low. Gutless
Guest Bilo Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 I like to think, as thick as many of our fans are, that any Leicester fan singing that would be swiftly 'dealt with' by surrounding supporters.
Tielemans63 Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 Really hope that's not true. There's banter, then there's just being a thick, spiteful cnut.
Corky Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 I like to think, as thick as many of our fans are, that any Leicester fan singing that would be swiftly 'dealt with' by surrounding supporters. We weren't thick enough to sing about the loss of someone's baby thankfully. Sharp even got applauded by our supporters a couple of times.
Fox92 Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 Happens everywhere. Yes, it is very disgraceful, but Barnsley will not be the first and they won't be the last to sing about someone who has connections to someone who is dead, just look at some of our fans.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 2 January 2012 Author Posted 2 January 2012 A Barnsley fan is tweeting that nothing as such was sung, yet Arlo White is saying he's heard reports of it. Billy Sharpe has tweeted, but made no mention of any of those kind of chants. Guess we'll hear before long one way or another
Haydos Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 Sounds like it might be a bit off bullshit then. Fvcking low if true though, can't imagine many would be involved.
accessory Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 Who was it who taunted Nigel Clough earlier this season about the death of his dad? I hope not to hear any repetition on Saturday. Mocking anyone about the death of loved ones is sick and unacceptable, whatever the circumstances or provocation.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 2 January 2012 Author Posted 2 January 2012 Though neither are right, doing so about an innocent kid so soon after it happened is more unacceptable than someone who died a few years ago after a drink problem.
Guest ttfn Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 Important to remember that if this did happen it was almost certainly a tiny minority. I'm sure most Barnsley fans are sound.
leicesterisme Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 There will be almost certainly chanting of Brian Clough on Saturday. It's disgusting but it happens every time we play Forest or Derby with a minor section of our fans who seem to find it amusing. I really hope people have just made it up about Barnsley fans as surely no-one can sink that low.
AjcW Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 To be fair, I genuinely think Barnsley have some of the nicest, welcoming fans I have ever come across on away trips, so much so that its one of my favourites. This will either be extremely isolated or wholly untrue.
kingfox Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Sick, sad and disrespectful. All that I need to say on the matter.

Daily Mail now on the case.. http://www.dailymail...ile-chants.html Barnsley fans are now denying the chants ever occurred, with some suggesting the rumours were spread by Leeds fans still bitter about their hiding on Saturday.

I don't know why but this really doesn't suprise me. As said above, Barnsley fans are friendly as **** in comparison with the likes of leeds, I just cant imagine a chant like this actually getting out at one of their games. Either way, if it was sung then they are ****ing scum, if it wasn't then the person creating the rumours is equally as ****ing disgusting.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 I seriously doubt this is true. If it is true there may have been what 10-20 morons who may have sung this? Ridiculous to put them all in the same boat.
foxfanazer Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 I'd like to think that if someone was standing there chanting this at a poor man that had lost his baby, his/their own fans would reprimand him/them. Makes me sick to my stomach and really puts into question my faith in humanity. This post is worded very well but I hope u agree with my sentiments I'd like to think that if someone was standing there chanting this at a poor man that had lost his baby, his/their own fans would reprimand him/them. leicesterisme Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 I've seen some of our fans on twitter and Facebook call this sick even though some of them sing about Brian Clough. Hypocrites.
foxfanazer Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 I've seen some of our fans on twitter and Facebook call this sick even though some of them sing about Brian Clough. Hypocrites. I doubt they are the same people, but I agree thats wrong too
Guest MattP Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 I've seen some of our fans on twitter and Facebook call this sick even though some of them sing about Brian Clough. Hypocrites. Not condoning either but their is world of difference between singing a song about Clough 10 years after his death to one directed at Billy Sharp over his 2 year old son.
Brainy Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Though neither are right, doing so about an innocent kid so soon after it happened is more unacceptable than someone who died a few years ago after a drink problem. So its all about how far down the line the tragedy happened?
Corky Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Neither should be sung, people are still around who were affected by both deaths and shouldn't be subjected to mocking about it.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 3 January 2012 Author Posted 3 January 2012 So its all about how far down the line the tragedy happened? And the fact that the kid was innocent and hadn't had a chance in life. Clough had. Read the sentance before though as well instead of trying to twist my post
