Rincewind Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 While I think about it. http://www.comedy-festival.co.uk/ A couple of weeks to go so needs to be kept near the top or a sticky. Got the magazine. Not really gone through it properly. Can't afford too many paid events but the Crumbling Cookie has a few free ones. Will go to some of those.
Webbo Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Ironic that the Highlight has just closed down this week.
Mission Unlikely Promotion Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Ironic that the Highlight has just closed down this week. Is that the old Jongleurs?
Webbo Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Is that the old Jongleurs? I think so, above The Walkabout.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Is that the old Jongleurs? Yes it is, went there for our works chrimbo meal this year, didnt realise it had closed down since?
Rincewind Posted 7 January 2012 Author Posted 7 January 2012 Can't see it listed in the venues, but Leicester has plenty of other places for the small shows. Never went to Jongulers or Highlights. Was a tad expensive for me and best to go with others any way. I will have more time this year but unfortunately less money. De Monfort is out of my range I think for most shows. (may be booked up now) but maybe I'll manage a couple £5-£10 price range. Will look at the brochure in more detail over the next week or so Trouble is even at a free one if there is a bar that'll add to the cost.
accessory Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 Got some more time during the fortnight this year, so I'll check out a few of the gigs. Looking forward to Chris Addison at DMH.
chuck'em Posted 10 January 2012 Posted 10 January 2012 I'm hoping to catch Adam Buxtons BUG this time around as i couldn't make it the last 2 years. I saw Chris Addison on the Uncaged Monkey tour last year and was pretty underwhelmed, although Dara O'Briain made up for it.
