Tuna Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 i knew it wouldn't be long before we saw the first pearson out thread, my my it was created 20 minutes before the end of the game. we were unbeaten in 5 before today, yes some of the results have been disappointing and some of the individual performances unacceptable (Its is time to admit that Gally is just not good enough Nigel), but Pearson has been back 8 weeks and already people are calling for his head? This is ridiculous, we will never go anywhere if we keep sacking managers. Top won't sack Pearson and his staff after paying millions to recruit him barely months ago. We urgently need to recruit as some of the players are not up to it, we do that and it will turn. Lets remember that this is Sven's team, not Nigel's, give him a chance to recruit his own people and it will turn. Lets get behind the lads, Pearson will get it right and turn it around.
ian the fox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Sven signed most of thes " wasters" that lost today ,
drc Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 sven signed Kasper (MOM), Peltier (Faz vouched for him), Konchesky (solid performance), Nugent (maybe you hate him), Mills (hasn't been what we expected but we all was happy when he was signed)), Danns (hasn't been what we expectd but we all was happy when he was signed)
acooling08 Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Sven signed most of thes " wasters" that lost today , Yeah Gally, King and Wellens were excellent today.
Haydos Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Sven signed most of thes " wasters" that lost today , Fvck it, I'm gonna say this to every shit post like this I see. Who signed Schmeichel, Konch, Peltier and Nugent, arguably our 4 best players this season? Possibly even add Bamba to that list.

Dyer played reasonably well in place of the injured Schlupp and Tunch did not look to bad. Sven retained all of the players from Pearson and Sousa that were still here when Nigel returned but on much more money . It is hard to get rid of overpaid players since others may not want to pay them so much and takes time. At the same time it makes it harder to get players in since they want the same dosh if they can.

I'm not defending either of them. The same regurgitated 'sven mess' bullshit doesn't fly though. Pearson still has plenty of his squad here....and we're still playing shit. On the whole 4 or 5 of Sven's signings have been the best players, not Pearson's. He needs to stop whining and get on with it. Mills has captained Reading to a play off final and Beckford was top scorer for a mid table prem team last season, they're all capable. You're a manager, Nigel. Manage.
Guesty Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Yeh Sven did sign some good players but lets face it he signed so many that a few had to work out. Pity he didn't bother to sign any wingers which we all said we needed before the start of the season. Also a pity he didn't sign a striker till panic buying a striker with an attitude problem last minute who seems unable to motivate himself to play for us. Whilst I was never Svens biggest fan he did buy some good players which you have to credit him for. But if he had bought a decent midfield he'd still be hear today. I thought when Pearson came in he would sort it out. Unfortunatly he hasn't but I still think if he buys a target man and a new midfield he might be able to salvage something. But its unlikely he will able to fix this piss poor midfield out in January.
