You'd have an arrogant chav who plays when it suits him over someone whos committed and has drive and a will to win?

Maybe the boo boys have done us a favour, Adams has gone, a newer, cleverer man has taken the reins.

Stewarts gone

De Vries is working his arse off in training

He is not going to improve much more now he is 23, so it was about time one of our manmagers made a decsion with him. Is he good enough to play for Leicester ro could we get ina better player for the same money? Personally I think 125k is a lot in the current transfer climate, especially for a full back and I am sure there are better players out there witing to be snapped up.

People complaints seem to be based on unrealistic expextations of transfer fees. He is an unwanted full back in a heavily deflated transfer market. 125k is a god fee in my opinion.

I also suspect there is a certain loyalty because he sort of came through the youth system, which is ridiculous because we only picked up from Villa when he was 16 and youth players shoudl only get to play if they are good enough.

Well done CL for making a decison one way or aother, if you sign a quality replacement then it will have been very good business.

Not sure about this. Jordan has been so frustrating over the past 3 years, atleast we won't have that to deal with anymore. I just hope Levein brings in a good left back with age on his side because although Stewart was inconsistent I think defensively he was quite solid.

Levein has talked at length about the importance of having young and homegrown players in our team, yet he gets rid of two in Stewart and Heath who are our longest serving players. He's a brave man, because although I agree both of them ultimately aren't good enough for the premiership we need a settled side to build up continuity and taking those two out is contradicting alot of things that he has said.

Pleased about that Blackburn chap arriving, he's impressed me when i've seen him.

Getting rid of Stewart is great news - Levein once again shows an astuteness that was distinctly lacking in his predecessor.

Jordan Stewart:

For - Age

Against - Can't cross a football, therefore no good on the wing going forward. Not solid enough to be a reliable defender. Never a central midfield player therefore simply not good enough, especially in the prem where we want to be.

If he was any good, bearing in mind his age is right, why wern't the big boys of this world not scrambling for his signature?

I think I know the answer. Watford for a season or two then the pontins league.
