City's Under-18s produced an outstanding performance on Saturday to beat Premier Academy League high-fliers Aston Villa 5-2 at Belvoir Drive.

First-year apprentice Michael Caine scored twice for the young Foxes, whose rampant display was made all the more impressive in that it came in the absence of captain Tom Hopper, who was on the bench for the first team's FA Cup win at Norwich City.

Caine's double was supplemented by another goal for the prolific Harry Panayiotou plus further strikes from Matt Robinson and first year pro Liam Moore, whose experience proved valuable to the side on the day.

Following the postponement of their game at Watford last week, it was a second victory on the bounce for City's youngsters, who continue to perform with promise against some of the country's elite young players.
