Why does Pearson keep playing Gallagher when he is injured?

At his best - class act, at his worst - liability. Unfortunately we see him at his best for about 180mins in a season and most of the time the guy is just poor. If he is anywhere near the team next season we aren't going anywhere.

For me this is all about who and what we need to do to gain promotion.

I say again, we cannot rely upon players who can have a blinder one week, then go missing for the next five...

It will not work and we will not succeed by insisting upon players who are so inconsistent in their levels of performance.

It's not only Gallagher... But he, for one, is not good enough to kick us on to the next level.

If people keep relying upon such players we will be having the same thread next season and probably the season afterwards.

Not read the thread, but he was simply awful if it's right Gally was injured Nigel is at fault, If he wasn't injured he needs offloading in the summer, infact i'd consider offloading him anyway.

He's been crap when fully fit, so that doesn't wash with me. Anybody see him turn his back on the ball for Cahills goal?? Shocking from a professional, and as for his corners today............ fookin aida

Gally was really poor. Almost ashamed to admit it but I was glad when he went down and had to be taken off. He is supposedly in the team for his delivery but his corners were terrible and those ridiculous little dinked balls into the box he does are just pointless. Has anybody ever scored from a cross like that in the history of football?! Easy to say with hindsight I know but Marshall would have started had I been in charge. In a free-flowing game Gallagher is basically a passenger because he has NO pace and is a bit of a wimp.

Oh and that free header he had from Konch's excellent corner..what the hell was he thinking trying to head it back across the face with about 20players crowding the box when he had a clear sight of goal?! I watched the ball onto his head and he had absolutely ages to just pick his spot, he didn't even have to move. Don'tsee him featuring much more between now and the end of the season after today.

Quite obvious he played due to increasing our chances of scoring from pens, free kicks and corners on his day the guy is fantastic and a match winner. Today it didn't happen a lot of fans also said what has Ben Marshall done before today.
