Was wondering why there wasn't a thread on this. Makes F1 look like the shite it is, what a fantastic season opener. Vale really is a special, special man. To still have the hunger at 36 after achieving everything he has, and after going through the trauma of the Simoncelli incident, the bloke is just absolutely fearless, a real, proper legend of sport. Great to see the Ducatis back up the front, can only spell good things for this season. Read something about Pedrosa being in big trouble with an injury, and potentially having to retire sooner rather than later, whatever the case he'll go down alongside Mamola as the greatest rider never to win a title. Go Vale, would love him to do it.

Also a word on the Moto 2, I've been following Zarco closely and really rated him since the epic battle he had with Terol in the last 125 season. He looks to have the bike under him this year to make a real challenge for the title, unlucky in one respect to get the gearbox issue when so far clear, but on the other hand what on earth was he thinking veering off the straight like that, if he'd of just gone straight in to that wall we could very well be talking about the late Johan Zarco, that would of been a serious incident. Moto 3 the usual wacky races to get the draft on the final straight, always a brilliant spectacle.

Zarco with his maiden win (gotta be a short price for the championship), a Brit on the podium in every race, and Vale absolutely smashed it, Marquez has a lot of ground to make up already, could the doctor really do it? What was Marquez thinking there? Ludicrous. Jorge looks an absolute shadow of his former self, what on earth is going on with him?

If Rossi beats Marquez and wins the championship this year then I think it confirms him as the greatest rider of all time. I thought he was past it years ago.

Was very strange, you'd think men of their experience and know how would of thought to change bikes laps before, especially as their pit boards were out saying 'in' for 3 or 4 laps. Rossi was fortunate Lorenzo binned it, 23 points now, can afford a bin himself and be right there still.

Well, that's a pretty disgusting end to the season. Politics wins the title for Lorenzo, reminiscent of Senna vs Prost, when Prost went crying to Balestre to win the title.

Marquez is truly an imbecile. Sits behind Lorenzo all race and then would rather battle his teammate than Lorenzo. It's so obvious that he sabotaged the championship over the last two races. Just a shame Rossi fell for it, if he kept a clear head he would have won the championship.
