Happy Fox Posted 4 May 2012 Posted 4 May 2012 http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11712/7730931/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter Sky Sports understands a number of clubs are keeping tabs on Notts County starlet Tyrell Waite. 17-year-old Waite only joined County in March from Ilkeston after a successful trial at Meadow Lane. The talented forward's goalscoring exploits at Ilkeston saw him attract the interest of a host of Championship clubs, but County's new scouting system headed up by Matt Alexander recommended Waite to Keith Curle and the Magpies signed him after a successful trial. Waite has been making waves since joining County and is already on the fringes of Curle's first-team plans. Blackburn Rovers and Leicester City are both thought to be tracking Waite's progress after being alerted to his potential. However, County are determined to keep Waite, with the teenager tipped to be a key part of their plans next season.
Raw Dykes Posted 4 May 2012 Posted 4 May 2012 Interesting. Hopefully, if it's between us and Blackburn, we might be favourites if he wants to stay in the area. That's if Blackburn are relegated, obviously.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 4 May 2012 Posted 4 May 2012 I would like to think we already have 3 young lads who deserve their chance of making a name for themselves before we go and buy another one for the future. Does he really have more potential than Schlupp, Hopper & Panawhatsisface?

Does he really have more potential than Schlupp, Hopper & Panawhatsisface? I don't think you can have too many good young players for the future. Ideally, every kid in the youth setup would have the potential to one day break into the first team. Even if they don't make it and have to be sold on, it would be much better if they're good enough to be sold for the club to make a profit, wouldn't it? There's more than 3 youngsters at the club, and some of them won't be as good as this Waite fella.
