I was at the gig and been keeping a close eye on this story.

Think its only a matter of time before they find a body, hope i'm wrong but its been nearly a week now.

Agreed, he doesnt seem the sort to put his family through this agony.

It was a nightmare getting out of there, easy to imagine someone getting lost and perhaps falling in water, particularly as many people appeared to be totally wasted!!

Really sad..

According to the newest Facebook group entries, the last people to see him alive (near a tram station) are stating that he was in a rather "confused" state.

Drugs? Alcohol? Dehydration?

A body found in the Manchester Ship Canal in Salford is that of missing Stone Roses fan Christopher Brahney, police have confirmed.

Officers were called to the canal near Media City, Salford Quays, shortly before 09:35 BST.

Mr Brahney, of Timperley, was last seen by friends at The Stone Roses concert in Heaton Park, Manchester, on 29 June.

More than 80,000 people joined a Facebook group appealing for help finding him.

Police said it was too early to say whether there were any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

Hundreds joined rally

A post-mortem examination is due to take place on Tuesday.

The 22-year-old had lost his phone at the concert and became separated from friends.

Police later said they believed his phone could be in Edinburgh.

The search for him was widened nationwide when police said he may have used the park-and-ride facility at Bowlee Park, in Heywood Old Road, towards Middleton, shortly before midnight.

Hundreds of people joined a rally in Manchester's Piccadilly Gardens on Thursday night, organised by his friends and family.

Suppose we will see the results of the post-mortem, but to go to a concert (or anywhere really) and not come home is sad.
