StanSP Posted 17 September 2012 Posted 17 September 2012 Now, without wanting to cause any political debate about Labour/Tories/anything to do with the coalition - I know what FT can descend in to; basically, keep it civil - I thought I'd be a bit of a vain, self-appreciative git. Got a (generic) letter from 10 Downing Street, specifically from David Cameron, thanking all GamesMakers for their effort and hard work and putting on a positive performance throughout the Olympics and Paralympics this year. I thought it was a nice touch and gesture that they've decided to send this out to all volunteers. Hopefully it inspires some others to volunteer, no matter how big or small the occasion .
Finnegan Posted 17 September 2012 Posted 17 September 2012 I hate to burst your bubble but it isn't specifically from David Cameron, it's specifically from a first-year runner in Downing Street's PR department that's been asked to type up a bit of junk mail to thank you for participating in a massively hyped bit of theatre for free. Not that it would be any different were any other political party in power.

But even so, nice gesture I thought from them as a whole. Is it signed?. Yeh.
Zingari Posted 17 September 2012 Posted 17 September 2012 reading between the lines , it sounds like he wants you for his bitch ! well done
