flowwolf Posted 31 October 2012 Posted 31 October 2012 I`m only accepting your apology because I love you. On that basis I doubly apologise , who doesn't want to be loved.
Reynard Bleu Posted 1 November 2012 Posted 1 November 2012 Ps what do you mean by " there will be more before WE finish " who the fvck do you mean by we ? Like you are going to get personally involved ? pc warrior  Fvck you, I did 3 tours how about you big boy.
Reynard Bleu Posted 1 November 2012 Posted 1 November 2012 Fvck you, I did 3 tours how about you big boy. Apologies, Just read your post saying that you have done your time too. You know exactly what I mean then? I took retirement for three reasons, 1) I felt despite the very great efforts of the British Army we were only postponing the inevitable. 2) I had seen too many good lads zipped up and flown out, 3) I felt old.

My apology to you too mate. You have earned that right to comment the hard way. Yes seeing your mate dead in front of you leaves you with mental shrapnel for the rest of your life, but hey we knew that when we joined didn't we ?

We did, but confronting it for the first time is shattering. After chasing shadows in Northern Ireland the thought of full on combat thrilled me, I wanted TIC from dayone, That lasted a lot less than the first 6 month tour.

I sometimes wonder if I'd be brave enough to go into battle. Probably not, I suspect. It's one thing to get drafted, quite another to sign up when you could get a cozy job in an office somewhere. You must have some balls.
