foz.foz Posted 29 November 2012 Share Posted 29 November 2012 Agree with a lot of suggestions on here. Names that I thought of when reading the 1st post were Kurt Cobain, Dave Grohl (god), Paul Weller, Noel Gallagher, Matt Bellamy ...... Here's where I get slaughtered... Andrew Lloyd Webber. I can't stand the bloke or his music, but look at all the music he's written for shows around the world. I think that in say 50 or even 100 years time, his music will be up there with the likes of Beetoven, amadeus and maybe Elton bloody John. I'll put me hard hat on now and wait for the piss taking to commence
AdamN Posted 29 November 2012 Share Posted 29 November 2012 Not every single song though! To me it shows a lack of understanding about how other people feel. Perhaps, but I suppose you can't judge talent on personality. His lyrics, even if they are all about himself, are incredibly clever.
Samilktray Posted 29 November 2012 Share Posted 29 November 2012 Why's that then? You can't be considered 'genius' if you've never released a classic album. He has an awful back catalogue.
