Crystal Palace manager has criticised Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger for acknowledging an interest in £20m forward Wilfried Zaha.

Holloway said: "Why is he talking about my players? I don't think that's right and proper, with the greatest respect.

"I don't think anybody who manages any other club should actually admit who he likes and what he should be doing. I think that's totally bad etiquette. He can say what he likes but about his players, not mine."

What people need to realise is that these quotes are actually answers to very carefully worded and provocative questions by the press. Ian Holloway probably hadn't heard Wenger's comments, I bet the question was something like "Arsene Wenger has declared his interest in Wilfried Zaha, what are your thoughts?" or something similar. Same as Holloway's Adam Hammill example, he would have no doubt been asked directly but in such a way that he couldn't not answer (if that makes sense).
