Guest Posted 7 April 2013 Posted 7 April 2013 too long to go to get excited. I felt much better at 0:9 than at 6:9
Fox in the North Posted 7 April 2013 Posted 7 April 2013 Dammit such a shame, but they gave everything. Well played.
leicsmac Posted 7 April 2013 Posted 7 April 2013 Think ill-discipline cost us there - 2 yellow cards and conceding 12 points during the 20 minutes we had one man down speaks for itself.
Guest Posted 9 April 2013 Posted 9 April 2013 2 sinbins to 0 and you can't expect to win. whether they were sin binning offenses can be argued - neither would have led to a try - but in the end if you take the chance you could pay for it. Toby taking the easiest kick of the day after 10 mins on the sideline was also debateable (at least after he missed it) but in the end a slightly different bounce to that ball in the last 2 mins on their line and the Tigers could have been in the semis. Feel sick for them. They played hard, dominated the scrum and lineouts but in the end crucial injuries to Croft and Ayerza (for which Botha should have been yellowed), a couple of bad decisions by tigers players and one of the best games of the season by Wilko cost them the game. It's points on the board at the final whistle that matter. And with regards the comment somewhere above about the CAP not playing a part - Toulon had less French players starting the game than they had English players. Only 4 French players - that's the Cap. 2 of 4 teams in the semis are French - that's the cap.
