Guest Posted 19 January 2013 Posted 19 January 2013 Is there any news about this game going ahead/being cancelled tomorrow. I just heard that the UK is expecting more snow tomorrow.
Bert Posted 19 January 2013 Posted 19 January 2013 Shit. I thought this was a spelling mistake on the title and should've been "Tigers to lose". If only they do, it'll be a perfect weekend. They've got the extra day to get it all sorted, should be ok unless we get more.
davieG Posted 19 January 2013 Posted 19 January 2013 The Leicester police will put more effort it to making sure it goes ahead if the Tigers want it to, they always treat the tigers fans better than the City fans when it comes to parking and controlling the traffic.
Guest Posted 19 January 2013 Posted 19 January 2013 If only they do, it'll be a perfect weekend. I hate this attitude from some of the people of Leicester. Move to Bath why don't you? You should be proud when any of our teams do well. It's very important to me as France is a big Rugby loving nation and I happen to be sepnding 12 hours with sports students/ athletes on Monday and Tuesday. Many of them are toulouse supporters and all of them know I'm a Leicester Man. Guest Posted 19 January 2013 Posted 19 January 2013 What history? Violence in the streets running battles with Police. you're old enough to have been in them.
davieG Posted 19 January 2013 Posted 19 January 2013 Violence in the streets running battles with Police. you're old enough to have been in them. I don't think that's the reason it's more that the police have a long standing connecting with policemen playing for the Tigers so it's become somewhat of a tradition to treat them better.

If I choose not to like the tigers then that's my choice!
C-man Posted 19 January 2013 Posted 19 January 2013 Don't really feel like moving there thanks. If I choose not to like the tigers then that's my choice! Agreed that it's your choice mate, but why? Not having an interest in Rugby is one thing, and totally understandable as it's total guff to watch 90% of the time, but to actively dislike them is just beyond me?
leicsmac Posted 19 January 2013 Posted 19 January 2013 Don't really feel like moving there thanks. If I choose not to like the tigers then that's my choice! Yup. Freedom of speech. But it's also the choice of other people to call you on following Leicester at one sport, but actively disliking them at another. Works both ways. As for the match itself...hopefully it goes ahead and the pitch is a total mudbath...that'll play right into the Tigers hands as they have superior forwards.

I was only joking. I don't think it matters. and the match going ahead should be down to the conditions - nothing else.

I don't have a problem with you not liking the tigers - even though you're a Leicester lad. but hoping they lose in the biggest team rugby tournament in the world is sad. Still you're Bert. why should I be surprised? Any inside knowledge for us this week?

There are a number of Tigers fans who have a very snobbish and condescending attitude towards City fans, seeing us as chavs and thugs. It's a minority though, and I actually quite enjoy going and watching them on the Crumbie terrace from time-to-time. Every club has its idiot fans.

Toulouse are relying totally on their forwards this year. Their backs have been disappointing. I hope that we can get the ball flying out to the backs where we are superior, however I expect it'll be too cold and probably too wet to be good for our ball handlers. Toulouse beat us in Toulouse because the weather conditions were atrocious - it was like a shower over a swimming pool. They are the top club in the modern history of the european game and we need their scalp (and probably the trophy) to once again propel us into the conversation of the best European team in history. btw after a great start to the season Toulouse are being overshadowed by Toulon in France this season.

They just specialise in different kinds of idiocy. Either way, no need to denigrate either club based on a minority of morons.

Well that's news to me...figured Toulouse would be the team relying on their backs. In that case I hope the pitch will be smooth and we can ping it about a bit. Either way...I think the home advantage can tell for us.

Yeah, when you look at the team and see that most of their backs are great French internationals you'd think that was the case. I can only say it's not been the case this season and their supporters are hoping that it's a battle of the packs. They even say that their pack is like the old Leicester pack.
MooseBreath Posted 19 January 2013 Posted 19 January 2013 Crap sport enjoyed by apes, gorillas and closet gays. No prizes for guessing which category fif falls into.

Have never really been able to put my finger on it to be honest - just one of them things I've seemed to take a dislike to. Some of the attitude of their fans that annoys me mind, turning their noses up at football fans.

Still you're Bert. why should I be surprised? Any inside knowledge for us this week? Well that's just your opinion, fully entitled to it and I don't have any problem with that one bit. You shouldn't be surprised by anything these days, but if you don't know me personally I'd ask you not to judge me Yeah, heard a few things yesterday thanks.
leicsmac Posted 19 January 2013 Posted 19 January 2013 Crap sport enjoyed by apes, gorillas and closet gays. No prizes for guessing which category fif falls into. Sport is sport for me. Obviously football comes top (though tennis runs it close in my view) but I enjoy watching pretty much anything in which Leicester/England/GB have a reasonable showing. I don't find it difficult to find entertainment in any of it. Apart from baseball. That's just shit rounders.
Corky Posted 19 January 2013 Posted 19 January 2013 We all love the cricket team though. LEICESTERSHIRE LA LA LA

Guest Bilo Posted 19 January 2013 Posted 19 January 2013 Maybe you'll like it when you grow up. Or maybe he won't given that, y'know, which sports you like are a matter of personal preference rather than maturity.
