Guest Posted 8 February 2013 Posted 8 February 2013 Could be a slight change of plan, anyway, not that anyone cares but my printer has been by about 10 minutes ago and delivered a cracking bottle of port and a nice bottle of brandy. Who'd be a crime not to mix them tonight, right? Does anyone drink port and brandy any more? Some youngsters drink port and lemonade again now don't they? Or port and WKD blue? Heathens. Brandy? Is it a real Cognac or just some cheap crap?

You can mix port and brandy? Only time I've drank port is on the sports social bus. We used to have to down a bottle each before we arrived wherever we were going for dinner
Guest Posted 8 February 2013 Posted 8 February 2013 Port and Cognac are both excellent drinks - well some of them. The type of glass is an important ingredient too.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 8 February 2013 Posted 8 February 2013 I'm a bit of a glass snob too. On nye the girl in the pub tried to give me whisky in a half pint glass that had just come out of the dishwasher! Needless to say I played war with her and she swapped it into the only other available which was a brandy glass. She then thought she would make up for it by pouring the dregs out of all of the top shelf whiskeys into my glass. Ended up with about half a pint of 6 different single malts. I wasn't best pleased on the inside but I was pissed, it was new years and she was really cute so I let it slide.
LcFc_Smiv Posted 8 February 2013 Posted 8 February 2013 Mates over the flat, beers, Hospitality d&b night in Sheff, try and somehow recover for my Rugby match tomorrow lunch time. A night in plug would do it for me, gutted to be missing this, instead I will be working on the wrong side of the bar in a family friendly restaurant! All seems a bit boring when the rest of the day has consisted of pay day, getting a horrible report completed and handed in sorting over tasks out!
1964FOX Posted 8 February 2013 Posted 8 February 2013 Down our local in a bit for a Q+A with Walshy and the Birch, Muzzy might be there as well, should be ok.
Saxondale Posted 9 February 2013 Posted 9 February 2013 Ah Agnew. A little better. Where's David Oldfield these days. He was a bit toss wasn't he? I don't know, but I recently resurrected a game I had going on FM 2010 managing Peterborough. I'm bottom of the Championship but Kevin Russell is my assistant and David Oldfield is in my coaching staff. Life is gooooood.

Guest BlueBrett Posted 15 February 2013 Posted 15 February 2013 Haha! I'm finding it difficult to get quite so excited this week. Too much cheap wine and rich food last night has left me feeling decidedly ropey. Plus my nob is sore. I'm sure I'll perk up a bit come 5 o'clock (or more likely about quarter past 4)

Guest BlueBrett Posted 15 February 2013 Posted 15 February 2013 That would be akin to sticking my head in the freezer to cure a cold.
