I imagine it was more misguided complacency from the club with Peterborough at home being targeted as a chance to get those interviews to coincide with the turning point for the season and the suspected start of a good run of form. What they didn't account for, was that just because you tell everyone that everything isn't actually shit, and that they do care and that they are doing their jobs, doesn't make it tru, and what we actually witnessed was years of being ran so poorly leading to another 'lowest point' for the club. Its quite poetic really.

Funnily enough the exact word I have just used, I think this fact gets lost on people who see them as ones who previously brought us success. It doesnt matter what they did, its about what they should be doing to ensure our future, where they leave the club, and at the moment under their stewardship, there will be no club.

A further indicator to just how low KP have taken us. Went into my local barbers at Barnsley, we got onto talking football post our result and the draw against us literally the only positive they could mention. These lot are fuming with where they currently are as a club. No disrespect to them, Ive worked for them, I gave them 5 years of everything I had, but Barnsley to me are a small town club who punched well above their weight in the Championship. For their fans to be so incensed that they currently sit 19th, yet here we are just 2 positions higher, what has this leadership reduced this club too? The worst part is you just know we have in it in us to hit further depths. We as fans of this club have seen 3 relegations in 4 seasons, sit in the third tier of league football, have no real idea about the longevity of our club all because of this group of clowns who were meant to act as custodians of our team. They then wheel out two media pieces pre-match telling us they acknowledge the past and it will be alright? Its insulting, humiliating, almost degrading to this point.

I have a feeling today is going to be the day that pushes everything over the edge. Savage has gone in and demanded hard work, hes wanting them to run and rat non stop and be aggressive. It would not surprise me if they come out fast and force us into an early error and the whole stadium turns.

Honeymoon to Thailand booked with Kuoni last June for later this year, the trip always seemed slightly longer than we planned but we put it down to the time lost across travelling. Been working through the itinerary today to make sure I'm aware of the domestic transfers and any other important bits. Noticed they have us flying from Bangkok to Phuket on the 24th of November and the Phuket hotel booked for the 27th of November.... Really hoping they arent difficult around this tomorrow.

Does anyone listen to any podcasts around running? Ive been listening to the strength of running podcast which is great but a lot of the episodes are so specific on certain topics there almost not applicable.

8 Days in Colorado done, Denver for a friends wedding then a little road trip through the Rockies. Estes Park, Frisco, Salida and Manitou Springs, really, really enjoyed it. RMNP was incredible, I wish we had planned to spend more time there but we used it to follow Trail Ridge Rd for the scenic drive to Frisco and stopped off on a few trails for shorter hikes, and then some overlooks and visitor centres for the views. Really enjoyed some parts of downtown Denver and areas around there, particularly Golden, my type of town. Salida was very similar. Both heavily local community focused, very outdoorsy, little to no chain type businesses.

My one disagreement is that you can't dictate sporting results, promotion/relegation on the regulations we would be applying by, transfer fees, wage cost etc, look at Spurs. But, there is no doubt we would have been in a much stronger position than where we have ended up. Its mad that the UEFA regulations, as much as our own are setup to keep the big teams the big teams, and Man City still had to break rules to remain at the top.

It has a massive impact on the UEFA FFP regulations we were governed by finishing 5th instead of 4th.

The bloke who text in RL post match to say he had to listen to Radio Oxford commentary and they were laughing at just how bad we are and not suited to the style of play tells you everything. Weve gone from being one of the most aspirational stories in World football, to a laughing stock, a punch line of a joke. All under Tops stewardship.
