MC Prussian Posted 9 February 2013 Posted 9 February 2013 A brother of a former classmate has started his own gaming project a while ago and is now at an advanced stage. If you've loved Railroad Tycoon, you'll love "Train Fever", which is currently under development. You start off in the year 1850 and gradually seek to improve your railroad company's business model, expanding in various areas. You gain experience in different fields, earn points and use them to invest in different parameters. The great thing is that there is no grid for game objects in "Train Fever" - and thus, no limitiations as to where to place things. Find more info on the crowdfunding platform Gambitious here. Feel free to "like" the page, share the info or invest a few quid yourself now for a free copy later on.
DorsetFox9 Posted 9 February 2013 Posted 9 February 2013 looks pretty decent, is he going to be releasing a Beta for it?
anotherharboroughfox Posted 9 February 2013 Posted 9 February 2013 Railroad Tycoon 2, what a game that was!
Trav Le Bleu Posted 9 February 2013 Posted 9 February 2013 Never liked the more recent incarnations of Railroad Tycoon. They looked prettier, but strangely became more restricted with what you could do. Maybe this will put that right.
Fox92 Posted 13 February 2013 Posted 13 February 2013 Looks like a decent idea. I don't play many games, but I do like simulators, especially if its related to creating rail.
