The Year Of The Fox Posted 7 March 2013 Share Posted 7 March 2013 Just watching the Spurs game- why oh why are our fans unable to get past the first verse without breaking into the chorus? Are we that retarded that we don't realise it's supposed to be two verses or do we try and put our 'own stamp' on it and it ends up sounding shit? I've heard it sung once properly- Cardiff away in the playoff semi. Never heard it sound as good as that night. We tried to get it going properly on Tuesday to no avail. Even the new Chris Wood song is fast on its way down the pan already because of this. It's almost as if people are so embarrassed at our proper songs that they have rush through them at a trillion miles an hour just so they can cream themselves over the latest Sloop John B "We do what we want" type rip-off bollocks five seconds later. Ok try the old way we used to start it in the sixties. Some one shouts out " Knock -knock " someone then shouts out " Wendy" then another shouts out " Wendy who ? then we all start with Oh wendy blues go marching in ect.
