Trouble for Burberry

City centre pubs have banned drinkers wearing Burberry clothes in a crack down on alcohol louts.

A list of clothing brands worn by football hooligans and violent youths include the luxury label.

It also found Stone Island, Aquascutum and Henri Lloyd to be among the yobs' preferred choice of clothing.

Anyone wearing the brands will now be barred from the Parody and Varsity pubs in Leicester city centre.

A spokeswoman for the pubs told the Leicester Mercury: "This is not necessarily aimed at football violence.

"It is targeting a certain gang of young lads that have been causing concern in the area.

"But if it works to exclude that football element, then so much the better."

A police spokeswoman said well-known football hooligans had a particular dress code.

Pc Karen Holdridge added: "These people are recognised as coming into the city centre day in, day out and causing trouble."

A spokeswoman for Burberry - known for its high-quality coats, scarves and hats - said it had no comment to make.

A spokesman for Henri Lloyd called the ban a "ridiculous prejudice".

It seems nowadays you can be labelled a criminal without having committed a crime. Better let my mother know so she can avoid those pubs in Leicester.  :angry: <_<

This suprises me, although every person wearing burberry i have met is a w*nker that doesn't mean to say everyone who wears those clothes are hooligans, trouble makers or jobs.

It is predjudice.

its not just burberry , stone island and henri lloyd banned as well , i got quite a lot of henri lloyd stuff , oh well just have to go somewhere else then

Although every person I have know who chooses to wear Burberry is an absaloute twat and I wouldn't want them drinking in my pub, I find it utterly ridiculous that you can bad people for 'being the type to commit a crime'. It is not a publicans right to choose what fashionspeople follow and it clearly is not the best way to deal with the problem.

Its all a little pathetic really.

Your only problems BM are that you are a fashion victim with too much money therefore an easy target.

But I'm sure you look good in it B)

Tell me about it!

I couldnt beat an egg, i aint no threat to anyone!

What a joke, I aint got 1/2 the stuf of BM but I have a few Burberry and Henri lloyd clothes.

I'm no holligan and I'm not one of these people who wear those awfull burberry shirts where it's nothing but the burberry pattern. Most burberry clothes I've got just have the pattern on the collar and stuff which I think looks really nice, but does this make me a holligan?

What a load of bollocks.
