Webbo Posted 28 March 2013 Share Posted 28 March 2013 An Afternoon With Davie Gibson & Friends Join a number of Foxes all-time greats at the latest Heritage Afternoon to raise money for the LCFC Foxes Foundation. This April Leicester City Football Club welcomes a number of the Foxes’ all-time greats with the launch of the latest instalment of Club Historian John Hutchinson’s popular Heritage Afternoons at King Power Stadium (Sunday 28 April, 2pm-4pm). Having already welcomed some legendary names to date, this time we introduce one of the finest midfielders to grace Filbert Street, as Davie Gibson joins us along with some VERY special guests in support of the LCFC Foxes Foundation. A majestically gifted talent that turned out 300 times for the Foxes, Scotland international Gibson is not only one of the longest serving midfielders, but also one of the very best to have worn the blue of Leicester City. To help us celebrate the golden era of the 1960’s Gibson will be bringing along a few familiar faces, making this Heritage Afternoon a veritable who’s who of LCFC history! England’s World Cup winning goalkeeper and arguably one of the greatest stoppers to have ever played the game, Gordon Banks, is among those reuniting with former teammate Gibson for an unforgettable trip down memory lane. Alongside the presence of one of England’s finest, we will also be joined by another of Scotland’s as Frank McLintock links up with his 1963 FA Cup Final City teammates. As well as the chance to hear from Davie Gibson and special guests, the afternoon will also feature some of the Club’s hidden treasures form the 1960’s and in particular memorabilia from the illustrious careers of those in attendance. In the coming days we will be announcing even more of the great names that will be joining the star studded line-up, but you can guarantee a place today by securing your ticket. This event promises to be one not to be missed as we welcome back some of the very best players in Foxes folklore. Tickets are available now priced just £15 each, so book early to avoid disappointment. Tickets are available now online at www.lcfcdirect.com, by calling: 0844 815 5000, by emailing: [email protected] or from the City Fanstore. All profits from this Heritage Afternoon will go towards the LCFC Foxes Foundation. http://iota.ecommzon...fc97/story4.htm
