cc_star Posted 2 April 2013 Share Posted 2 April 2013 I wonder whether this is why NP hasn't signed another left back as cover - maybe he thought that the amount Konch is on is as much as he wants to spend to cover the left back provision. This is the thing about being a proper club manager as opposed to some guy who takes the training & picks the team & spends someone else's money like it's going out of fashion He has to manage resources and if we're paying Liverpool wages for a LB... how much more can we pay for backup etc? I know Nigel has looked at Ezekiel Fryers and Larnell Cole in the summer, But wasn't financially possible. Both top young players we could of had in the squad if we didn't have these 5 rubbish,average well over paid players. Also other top young players have been scouted, without again being viable! But, unfortunately these players aren't going to move permanently for a pay cut and they are on way too much thanks to Sven. Since they aren't being played regularly it means they aren't worth that much. Spiralling down to a ****load of overpaid useless players really...
